Absolutely, 200ns is vfm. Good power, good handling, decent mileage.

Haha. Take a test drive first. You might be able to eliminate a few based on your taste

If you commute via Rajarhat/E.M. Bypass, the best bet for you would be the Karizma or the P200SS. Both the bikes should provide considerable amount of protection against wind-blast. A bigger bike is always welcome Rajarhat. Both of them suits your budget and are suitable for long rides as well.
If you feel that a 200/200+ cc bike is a overkill for 20 odd km.s daily, wait for the Gixxer SF(proposed launch date is April 7, 2015).
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Yes, it is indeed very irritating!

Re: Need suggestions on my first bike

R15 and duke 200 seem to fit in your budget.
If you are a conering lover then there is no other bike better than the r15 , with its refined engine it's just so great to ride . It has amazing brakes , good mileage , good build quality, good wind protection, amazing looks and it's a high revving engine .
But the biggest problem in r15 is its aggressive riding position and with the pillow the pick up just drops .

The Duke are for the speed junkies. I mean 25hp + light weight body it's amazing. It has good riding position, good handling, good brakes , reliability, amazing performance and good for long drives .
Well the it's problmes are heating issues and services won't be cheap .

But also do consider the NS200 and RTR180
I don't ride a bike to add days to my life .
I ride a bike to add life to my days !
