  • Help Please in choosing bike

    Greetings experts!!

I am planning to buy two wheeler. I have spine problem (L3+L4&S2&C2+C3).
    Budget : 2.75 lacs
Weekly distance to be driven = 450 to 500 Kms - average 64 to 71 kms a day
    My weight 100 kgs
    My height 5feet 9 inches
Fuel : NO CNG please (not available nearby)
    Mileage : Negotiable
    Pillion rider : Negotiable
I have corrected vision. I wear glasses (progressive vision). I live in guduvanchery pin 603202 (10kms of tambaram). Commute presently through combination of train + bus + call taxi or auto. Because of my spine problem, I need super good suspension and driving comfort level which is experienced in Mahindra SUV 500 or Mahindra Scorpio. I do not have car parking, so I cannot buy scorpio or suv 500. Please help me.
    Thanks in advance

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Re: Help Please in choosing bike

For your requirements, honda unicorn 160, cbr250 or inazuma (best choice if you can get one) is apt. Alternatively you can go for Maruti WagonR. It may not be as comfortable as an xuv500 for your back but comparitively better than any bike, provided you have parking space, of which it takes just a bit extra than a bike. Riding a bike, no matter how plush the suspension is, requires strong core. You can even try enfields, but again if something goes south, pushing the bike will take a toll on your back. This is not to discourage you, but just being concerned.
Nowadays, bikes north of 1.5lakhs (except cbr250, which is pretty much good for our roads) usually come with stiffly sprung suspension setup to aid handling and cornering. If your daily commute involves lots of bumpy, potholed roads then it is better to stay off bikes altogether until your health issue is resolved.

Cbr 250r for you will be perfect. It is more comfortable than any other bike in its cold. Get a test drive and see if your back is comfortable.

With spine problems you should absolutely not drive bikes for long distances. Rather with that budget get a second hand car and drive comfy

              Help Please in choosing bike

              Hello,

If you are looking for comfort on a two wheeler, that you won't get much.[emoji4]

Anyhow, Personally, if you are looking for comfort, Royal Enfield 350 (Standard) is the most comfortable bike I have ridden. Due to its weight is soaks up badly damaged roads.

The only compromise is that it would be lacking is performance. If you are okay with that then you should consider it.

Engine refinement wise, Benelli-300 and Honda CBR are the best that I have seen.

              Cheers!
