I was keen on upgrading my current bike(ninja 300) to a 650.There were quite a few choices but,i still had the Honda CBR 650F on my mind. Finally, the bike arrived in the indian market after 2 years. Now the CBR 650F is priced at 8.1 lakhs on road which i feel is quite fair since,it has abs and not to mention the sweet inline four engine.I am planning on booking it in a few days. Will the price of the 650f drop anytime soon ?? because a lot of the people feel its priced a bit high.Even if the price drops will it be drastic ?.If so then i can wait for a couple of months.

There is no reason for a price drop in the near future. At least none that i know of.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

What are your reasons of getting a 650?

Why care what others think? You find the price ok and love the bike; that's what matters. AFAIK, there are no price reductions any time soon.Originally posted by EagleEYe View PostHello x-Bhp,

The reason I even had a doubt in the first place was because the z800 had a price drop of around 70k.Originally posted by The Monk View PostQuery Approved

I am not caring about what others think.Just wanted to know if there would be any price drop cuz the same thing happened with z800.People felt it was priced a bit high and then the Kawasaki reduced the price of the bike by some margin.I know you can't compare these 2 bikes of different segment but just wanted to clear this out of my mind .Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostWhy care what others think? Like everyone else I always wanted to own a big bike so I started off with a 150cc bike then upgraded to a ninja 300 which I have been riding for more than 2 and a half years.I have got used to the power of ninja 300 .the kwacker is one hell of a bike no doubt but the 300 was a bit painful to ride in the city ,constant gear shifts most of the time .I am 6'1 and weigh close to 92 kgs and the bike feels a bit small for me lol.I honestly had no idea of upgrading to a 650 until I saw and rode the cbr 650f.The bike's just too fun to ride.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostWhat are your reasons of getting a 650?

Re: Honda CBR 650F
I dont any a single reason as why the price would drop atleast in the next 1 year. May be after that, depending on the takers, HMSI might start to localise its part to keep the costs at bay. Now, it is on a spree to sell it and believe me, it will find its customers no matter what. Name will get you places no matter what the cost is.
You may think of waiting it, but it will kill you from inside everytime you see one whizzing past you.R15S - Current
Honda Dio - Current

Classic 500 - Sold
Pulsar 220 dtsi - Sold
Yamaha YBX125 - Sold

Which will not happen very frequently. Because it will not sell that well.

Re: Honda CBR 650F
The z800 is one hell of a bike(Kawasaki fanboy :P).The z800 was the first bike i took for a test ride, when I had plans for upgrading. The bike has literally no flaws.I haven't been a fan of naked bikes though.I actually fell in love with the 675.Took a couple of test rides. The bike's is too good. The sound of the triple <3.The only problem for me was the power of the bike is same throughout every gear and also I feel I am not ready for the 675 .The roads here aren't forgiving enough for the 675.Plus with so much power it would be very hard to manoeuvre during traffic.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostDo you really need an "f"? Just out of curiosity. What makes you feel it won't sell that well.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostWhich will not happen very frequently. Because it will not sell that well.

Why so dude. Like you said, it doesnt happen frequently, But that 'one-off' situation triggered mine. Hence asking you, what could be your reason for that.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostBecause it will not sell that well.R15S - Current

I dont think people will be willing to pay a 2 lakh premium for a Honda engine and 2 extra cylinders over, say, a N650.

Re: Honda CBR 650F
If Honda had priced it somewhere near 7 lakhs then i think the 650 would have had a lot of buyers. Many people like myself have been waiting for the CBR 650 from the time it was showcased in 2014 auto expo.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostI dont think people will be willing to pay a 2 lakh premium for a Honda engine and 2 extra cylinders over, say, a N650.

I assume, you are talking about Daytona here more than ST3. Because, Street is a perfect city bike and every sensible owner will repeat this.
And yes, waiting can be boring and mentally taxing, I did this for ST3R for some time. By the way Street Triple 800 is getting readied, if you need more reason to wait
I cant understand this madness about IL4s, as if all IL4s are made the same.
If you are a tourer, you can wait for Versys 650 as well.
By the time you accessorise your CBR 650, it will be ~9L. Think if its worth for a bike that comes with budget forks. Because you are in the ball park of used FZ1s .

Actually the confusion started by my usage of the term 675. When I used it, i meant both the Daytona as well as the Street triple, but
