Honda will be launching a brand new 125cc bike by the end of this year.
If you are in no hurry to buy, I'd suggest you to wait and keep an eye on that.

Glamour is a very reliable commuter with good fe and comfort. If you are looking for a commuter which will travel you from point A to point B with no fuss, Glamour should be a good choice.
If you want a little more exclusiveness, check out the Phoenix and Saluto. Saluto has the lightest in-class weight with good fe and perhaps the smoothest engine of the lot.

Glamour is a proven reliable no-nonsense bike. Also Hero servicing always gives peace of mind. Go for it! Get the disc brake version. It might not be as sporty looking as other 125cc bikes but does its job well. As for other bikes, stay away from Bajaj commuter bikes. Other bikes you can consider are TVS Pheonix, Honda Shine and Yamaha Saluto like others have suggested. But still, if you like the glamour go for it. You won't regret it.

Honda Shine & Saluto saddle height is more compared to my honda twister. I did find glamour very comfortable.

TVS Pheonix , i took a test ride, but my friends told not to go for bajaj and tvs. and i have seen very few tvs phoenix bike.

i do not travel long kms, just from home to office and vice versa. Max 12km per day. is the disc version good..
honestly speaking i do not know the difference between disc/drum version.
disc brake version might cost around 2-3k more than drum version.

A disc brake version is always better than a drum brake. Imo, go for the disc version as it adds to safety. While on road, in case of an accident, even a few centimeters can be the difference between life and death.

Fi is better because of better fuel efficiency , throttle response etc
But on the other hand maintenance will be expensive than a carb model if FI system have any problems , also it will be hard to find a good FI mechanic

FI is not Value for money! Go for the normal carbed version. I wouldn't say disk brake is absolutely necessary but if you can afford it go for it. Disc brake is far far more effective than a drum brake.

Why so? Chances of FI failure is < 1%. Carb related issues happen every other day. Then you have mechs who love playing with carb settings, whereas FI systems adapt to the environment. You have mileage benefits in FI too. How is carb more VFM?

To replace I agree, but then what about thousands of tuning exercises (money and time) to get that perfect mix? Every mech tunes it his own way!
Most users aren't DIY inclined any way but I get the drift.
