Wait for rtr 200 or should I go for duke 200
I had Apache 180 for past 6 years, I loved it to the core but now m feeling to buy a new one, was about to book ktm duke 200 on Jan 1st, but I read post about rtr 200 which is on the way and it seems that its going to be better than duke, it's going to smoke duke? Is that true . Should I wait for rtr 200 or should go for duke 200. I don't want to regret later, m all in love with Duke now.Treat ur bike good n she wil treat you betterTags: None

If you can wait, then it does make sense to wait. Though whether the Apache will live up to the pre-launch hype is debatable!Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/showthread.php?t=33522 As per Xbhp the duke would soon be phased out so it makes a lot of sense to wait for the new apache and the rumours too say that it will have a higher top speed and a more powerful engine than the duke.

Thank you for the response, I read, Duke will be phased out by end of 2016? , and will be replaced with Duke 250s? I am not waiting for that long, I need a bike before Feb 2016, any disadvantages of buying a bike that will be discontinued?Treat ur bike good n she wil treat you better

People are making assumptions without reading the Damn article. They are NOT discontinuing the existing models, they are simply REPLACING them with Upgraded models.Originally posted by Royalapache View PostThank you for the response, I read, Duke will be phased out by end of 2016? , and will be replaced with Duke 250s? RC390 2016 model is the first in the family to get replaced. Whether Duke 250 is coming here or not has not yet been announced. Its upto Bajaj whether to release the 250 version here or not because it has to have an equivalent Pulsar model and so far theres no news of Bajaj releasing or even developing a 250cc pulsar model
The only downside of a bike getting discontinued is that the availability of spare parts will start going down. Instead of Duke 200 wait for a while and lookout for Pulsar 200NS Fuel Injected version which is rumored to come out in January

As the duke is being replaced by a new model, it would be better to wait for the rtr 200.
Also, Pulsar NS200 fi is also coming.
Waiting a little would be the best thing to do!

Its better to wait until after February when the AutoExpo 2016 will be over. There will then be plenty of choices for bikes. Since Yamaha is participating, we know that the MT03 is definitely going to get launched but I am hoping that they will launch the MSlaz as well. Although there is no news about it. (Going by assumption that if they are participating it means they will be launching more than 1 bike)Originally posted by coolharsh91 View Post+1

Better to wait for Apache 200. Even Im waiting for it. It will be launch in FEB Auto Expo. TVS may consider Mileage and Power for Indian bikers in their new bikes.
GK question- How FI bikes make difference?

Re: Wait for rtr 200 or should I go for duke 200
while i hope it would be around 1 lakh, i doubt it will be that cheap. because they will not be discontinuing the 160 or the 180, so to maintain atleast some separation, the costing would be closer to 1.2 in my opinion.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostAround 1lakh
