• Pls Suggest me Highly reliable & comfortable long commute bike in 150cc

Dear all,
Please Suggest me Reliable & Comfortable bike in 150cc. Also need good fuel efficient . I am 5.8 ft long, weight is 60kg(leaner).
Drive approx 700 to 900 km per month in city(60%) & highways(40%). My budget is under 95K.
I already own a kinetic velocity(feb 2006 odometer not works after 3rd year), Yamaha crux(dec 2010 currently at 36490) & Honda Shine(sep 2013 currently at 21200). Also got back pain problem but my work needs too much travel, can't afford car.
All experience with my bikes specially crux & shine too good, very low maintenence. But in long cummute( in one day 170kms) shine give me harrshment also after 45 give vibration, need a good 150cc bike.
I am not a racer type user, gently use bike, commute between 45 to 60, wants to go some higher but my own bike's not allow this.
I wants to go with Honda, Hero, Suzuki. due to low fuel efficiency of 150cc yamaha engine, yamaha is out from my list.

Thanks if you give any reply on this

Honda Unicorn160
Suzuki GS150R - sales are under 50 per month on average

You need to test ride these motorcycles for at least 3 kms.

How comfortable are with Bajaj.
If so, give a try at Discover 150. Should come definitely under your requirement, wont cost you a bomb on maintenance, Mileage should be upward of 45+.

If not, then Honda Unicorn 160, Honda reliability, Hassle free maintenance. Can do 60-70 all day long. Should give you close to 50kmpl IMO.

First of all Thanks to all my new friends, for your suggestion's. I already touch few new user of honda unicorn 160 in service center. All tell me this new unicorn is not smooth as unicorn 150. also one getting oil leakage problem from engine head, approx user tell me this new unicorn give milage arround 48km/l. In suzuki service center gixxer user tell me milage around 45km/l. As you know i travel to much, just thing in my mind, pick a bike which spare parts easily available around in bihar(very bad experience of my kinetic velocity spare parts availability in local market). My cousin bro already have a p150. his bike is almost done 28000km in 3years & bike silencer give some amount of oil after running few kilometers, that means problem is in piston ring or head block also he tell me that the vibration are higher(but suspension is really good) so i am afraid from bajaj because such problems are encounter by few of my relative which are using pulser.
Frankly i told you I wants to go with hero, honda or suzuki(little bit doubt on suzuki for spare parts availablilty in market). After it now i take help from you all friends

Go with unicorn 160 .it is less smooth than 150cc unicorn but is still counted among smoothest 150's pretty good kmpl numbers and Honda brand name.

Check out the Xtreme Sports as this is a good option in 150cc. Proven engine and good ergonomics along with easy availability of spares should be good for you.
Hornet is also a good option.

Btw, have you checked out the SZ-RR(the blue core one)? Gives good mileage I've heard.

with the launch of Hornet, maybe unicorn will be put aisde--my thinking

and if commuting is the job look no further than the Suzuki GS150r or yamaha Sz series as suggested by krishna77.

Both these bikes looks bit sporty when compared to plain-jane Unicorn 160

Cheers,
Sanjay

Honestly mileage will be more or less same in all 150 CCs nowadays (45-50 kmpl). I would suggest Gixxer as the best bet, with FZ coming close second. I dont recommend Honda for the cheap/cost cutting plastics.

Try to get a test ride of new Xtreme and new Hunk. They are comfortable motorcycles with good suspension setup.
Spares availability won't be a problem as its a Hero, also you shouldn't be finding it difficult to find a Hero service center anywhere.
Spare prices are also less compared to Honda.

From FZ FI ownership thread in xbhp, I assume that it has fuel efficiency on par with other similar 150cc bikes. I would suggest to have a look at it as well.
