CBR 650f, benelli 600i, ninja 650,z800 , street triple
Well I have been riding a Honda CBR 250r and after a year and few months after getting a taste of a ninja 650(first time riding a bike above 350cc, it was a treat, absolutely sold me. Then benelli came and I Rode the 600i, my first test I was not used to the handle bars coming from the CBR I wanted chunkier handle bars lol then later I had my 2nd test ride and I really loved the inline 4 motor n its affordability and friendly nature of benelli really got me thinking, I have always been a Honda fanboy from a young age, when I heard of CBR 650f I really fell in love with the bike, inline 4 motor n all, good power n torque, when I heard it was coming to India I was excited but the 8.1 lakhs I felt it was a bit overpriced, soo coming to my last option the z800, its another inline 4 with monstrous power but the top end is the same as CBR, all 4 bikes in my opinion have almost identical top end with the CBR getting the top speed because of the fairing n being lighter of the other 3? I really have liking to all these bikes, which do you think is the best choice n why?Tags: None

Re: CBR 650f, benelli 600i, ninja 650,z800 , street triple
If I was in your place where I could shed 8L on a bike, I'd extend my budget and get the Ducati 821. Just check with the B'lore dealership on the oil change interval and the regular service interval. 15k kms for oil change and I guess 24k kms for regular service.
If you are an inline 4 lover, go with the Kwaker. It's worth every penny.
The CBR on the other hand is somewhat overpriced for you get.
If you want a bike that screams every time you throlle, get the TNT 899. It's a 3 cylinder beast with no electricals. Its RAW power.
Good to see so many Chennaites getting higher capacity bikes
Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Deathwing, among the options you mentioned, its pretty clear
If you want a faired bike go with the 650F
If you want a naked beast go with the Z800
Heres a video to help you out

Lol, tbh litre class in India is a big no no... Any supersports I go for will be a sub 600cc, personal favorite is the 2015 gsxr 600Originally posted by RoyalIndian View Post
, I see no pointvhaving a 1000cc with roads n traffic here.. Yes as I have clearly mentioned its all middle bikes , some or most of em are even classified as starter bikes in the states or Europe, I guess I'm happy enough with something which can gimme 75-90bhp for now, I believe in systematically upgrading, 150cc,250cc, 600-650cc, 800-1000cc . isn't the maintanence cost of ducatis really high? I have seen enough reviews on the Kawasaki, the maintenance is really reasonable, same with the benelli 600, z800 is pretty heavy in my opinion, I want something a bit flexible and can do a bit if cornering. Benelli 899 is priced at 9 lakhs right? And the triumph is 9.5 tho the specs are disappointing but the quality is there, jus wish Honda got the price of the CBR down by a lakh or introduce the cb650f at 6.5 lakhs would be ideal, and thanks to whoever for getting my thread accepted

2. 24
3.6ft 2
4.80-90kgs
5.weekend rides, night rides, some touring, occasionall commute
6. Preferably 20 or more in the city and 25-29 in highways if possible.
7. Effectively use the bike on long rides , some touring, some city riding
9.Chennai,city,tnagar, low altitude
10. The bike I really wanted was the CBR 650f but felt it was a tad overpriced, other bikes I got my eye on is the benelli 600i, ninja650/er6n/ CBR 650f and cb650f if they release at a more reasonable price, z800 is a long shot but I'm not too confident on getting it,

1. Used hyosung 650 available for under 3 lakhs
2. Kawasaki en6 and 650, you can get them considerably cheaper if you get them registered in pondycherry
3. Benelli 600i is also an excellent option. Looks way better than the the competition.
The Honda imo isn't worth the price tag

Hyosung I've heard got not very great customer service and the bikes are not reliable. Coming to Kawasaki , Im not a big fan of the er6f, honestly prefer the ninja650r as pricing difference is not that big, coming to benelli, prefer the 600i over the gt, want to know if one can tour on the 600i with a windscreen. I wished Honda would have priced the CBR at 7 lakhs would have been ideal.I think its coming down between the benelli and er6f/ninja650Originally posted by teezam View PostYour options are -

Re: CBR 650f, benelli 600i, ninja 650,z800 , street triple
My friend is about to pick a Benelli 600i (finance is being worked out), he has 4 national records (1 still unbroken)... I have toured all of NZ, Tasmania and good part of Victoria on a CB 919 Hornet that was w/o a wind shield. never had a problem as the seating was comfortable and any which ways was taking a break every now and then for photography / smokes etc... And a friend did the same in z1000....Originally posted by Deathwing View PostHyosung I've heard got not very great customer service and the bikes are not reliable. Since both bikes look the same, and given its weight can be confident that cruising at 140 should not be an issue, usually winds starts becoming an issue past 180 and those who tour don't hit / maintain such speed levels...
If you find it much of an issue pick an aftermarket wind screen, stay away from the fancy puig's etch- you can pick one from the local market for far less. With all the import costs they are qouting unreasonable sums of money for it...
I have picked up a naked too (awaiting delivery) and gonna hit the roads form Feb. Do feel free to join in.

Re: CBR 650f, benelli 600i, ninja 650,z800 , street triple
But Ideally if I had ready cash (w/o) finance option- Then check out the Ducati Multistrada.... And if you can front up the cash w/o finance check out FB pages like Superbike classified. There are good options like street triple for 7.5l, FZ1 for 7-8 (there's one put up by Sandeep xbhp founder aswell)
