Except the 899, rest all are above 10 lacs. That's 2 lacs above the Z800.
Benelli I'm not considering simply bcz of no ABS.

Just beware of dodgy speedo reading and tampering.

Deal finalized on my current bike. One step closer to acquiring one of the above said bikes. Still confused between the two. Getting a test ride of Z800 next week, will hopefully clear out the whole dilemma!

Well, Benelli has launched 600i with ABS in Auto Expo.....

Will be available in couple of months with 30k price increase.

Still a 4k service interval is not very enticing.

                        Thanks everyone for the inputs.
I finally decided to go with the Street Triple.
Test riding the Z800 out in the road, it just didn't connect as much as Street Triple. Also Z800 was a bit lazy in handling as compared to Street Triple.
Got a 200km test ride from Triumph which sealed the deal for me. Got a exchange bonus of 30k on my previous bike too.
Would be taking the delivery soon.

Which bike u exchanged? But isn't the street triple detuned for Indian roads?200km test ride!? That's pretty surprising,

                            Thunderbird 500
It is detuned but I found it much more suitable to me than the Z800.
I mean numbers are there but in the end I bought something which connected more to the heart.
I know a 200km rest ride seems implausible but the dealership was very forthcoming. I basically joined them for their Valentine's day ride xD

Fair enough, I guess not much to differ in terms of quality, z is more heavier and cornering and turning is a pain, I see u were looking for nakeds, just wished the bike wasn't detuned cause its a great bike...also if Honda had the cb650f its a definite game changer, cheaper n has identical top end with the z800, inline 4, will be probably a lakh n soo more than a benelli n er6n but worth it if its around 7lakhs ,

The street triple may be low on numbers but not performance, plus the lower weight makes it immeasurably better handler especially in city and ghats! (It's considered to be the best bike in it's class for cornering in the world!) The major reason for going with the Triple was it's handling, it just felt natural.
And IMO, the finesse on the Triumph is just a notch higher than the Kawasaki, though a very minuscule difference, plus Triumph uses steel braided brake lines, has aluminum frame, gets a gear indicator and a rpm limiter.
