Cycle world caught 2017 390s and 200s testing in Europe? Please give me a direct link to that article since it sounds pure BS to me. Mind you, we are talking specifically about 390s and 200s not the Rumored 890 mill bike or the 690

And no, for a bike that will be launched in 2017, the test mule will not be spotted ages back. Its not a rule of thumb. Infact the 2016 RC390 was showcased at EICMA in November 2015 and then later spotted in India in December 2015 expected to launch at AE2016 but they started pushing the bikes in the last week of January 2016 itself ahead of AE2016.

Besides the 2nd gen D390 was imported in India for R&D last year in March: Second Generation KTM Duke 390 Imported To India For R&D

So expect the 2nd gen KTMs to be revealed at EICMA 2016 and then later get spotted in India followed by their launch in Early 2017.

Hi Guys,


Finally I booked the 2016 KTM DUKE 390!!! My dream which kept me on my toes to achieve it for past 3 years I booked the black one. Will be taking the delivery somewhere in last week of the month. I booked the bike in Pune. Which brings me to this question- I want to install the crash guard to be fitted as soon as I bring it on the road. Although there are stock crash guards that come with the bike but I want a particular one which I felt will be quite effective to its utility. This is the one I am talking about :



I thought that this was a KTM power part but the showroom people said otherwise. So where can I get this particular crash guard and how much is the approximate price for this? Please suggest.

I could have waited for the newer one but the following points convinced me not to do so:

1) The new bike is gonna come with new problems which can/can't be corrected later on.
2) Going by the spied features that the newer model might have, which are definitely good to have, the price tag will definitely increase significantly. Now that's something which im not willing to spend.
3) Purely subjective, but i dont like the looks of the new duke 390, especially when it comes to the tail section. The design of the current model does the magic for me.
