Re: Secondhand ktm Or new other bike

Do decide to let us know what you are looking into still, there are some pretty new bikes coming in April 2016.
RtR hits March 2016 in showrooms for atleast basic version which is 98 K on road in Mumbai.

Never go for 2nd hand bikes unless you really really have to since you never know the owner has abused it or not.

OT - JDC TVS Alwarthirunagar TVS Showroom,Chennai, says that the Top-end RTR (ABS,Fi,Pirelli) is gonna cost 1.3L On-road and is hitting the showrooms on April 10th.They will have the normal ones in display within 10 Days,I'm gonna go and take pictures and observe what TVS has done with the RTR 200 I'm kinda disappointed with the power figures on the Paper with only 21 Bhp,Whereas the competition having 23-25 Bhp.I also didn't expect it to be the Cheapest RTR.I expected it to make more power and pricing starting right a bit above the Pulsar RS/AS/NS 200.If the 200NS comes out with FI and Dual-Channel ABS,The RTR will be DOA ,The only thing I can see is the Better Build Quality of TVS over KTM and Bajaj

Just because the power is less doesn't mean you won't enjoy the rtr remember, it still has Racing throttle response.

10000000% Agree.Main reason why I am a fan of the Shogun and RTR - Dat Throttle Response doe :P

But most of the people coming to get a bike will want Power on Paper and it's all they are gonna care. Not everybody is an enthusiast If they are,Why would they go for a D200 or a P200 ? Besides Power,Lots of other things matter

Fully agree!.. the Cbz was a fun bike

I went and picked up a AS200 I tried several TVS showrooms but none gave me a definite date on when the TVS was going to be released . Its really hard to keep the revs down .Honestly i miss the kick i used to get from the cbz in lower gears.. but heck this bike is way smoother than my cbz , Quite enjoying the big bike feel. The eurogrips kinda suck.. im guessing the power of this bike is higher up in the 6-7k rpm .. its more of a highway machine than a city machine. Well so far im enjoying it.. iv gone 500km in about 7 days.

Re: Secondhand ktm Or new other bike

Im close to a month of owning this bike i can say it has really really started to smooth out and open up... its at around 1700km 26th will be a month. After 1250km iv started pushing the bike to around 60-80 km.. and after 1600km iv started to push the bike to around 90km/h..(only in short bursts) So far iv seen a millage of around 38-41km/l.

It's now at 2200 km . I'm quite sure the speedo is inaccurate compared to my cbz which was pretty accurate. The eurogrips are so so and I notice they tend to lose traction with hard breaking . I'm a little worried about the monsoons. They are not really as bad as some people claim them to be but yes not that great. The tires will be my first upgrade when I can. Maybe followed by a 4300k hid when I can .
