Apache will be a tad underpower compared to the bajaj counterparts...just a logical guess seeing the reviews and numbers...☺

Apache may have a little less power compared to Bajaj but it has more Quality since TVS is TVS.
I think it's better to buy a bike in April of 2016 with soo many new choices hitting the market.
Buying a bike now makes no sense, try to see if you can borrow a friend's bike for now or travel different methods would be a great choice.

I don't want fellow bikers to make mistakes then realizing they could have gotten a way better deal with a better bike.

You can always go for a Apache 180 with ABS which is still a good deal at 95 K on road. without abs you can get one for 85k or less on Road.

End of the day the choice is yours.

Naked Gixxer, Apache 180, Hornet, Bajaj's steads.

I dint mean to offend anyone but firstly tvs was never ever know for great build quality (neither was bajaj ) again tvs bikes are not new to the market.. The only point here is BMW commimg into the picture.... ABS has been by far the best thing that TVS has incorporated in their bike and kudos to them for that... Apart from that apaches has never been known to totally outperform 200cc line up pulsars practically or even in the vfm context.... Even i used to ride an apache 180 which was a menance as its name though poorer in build quality from my current pulsar which somehow due to bigger engine outperforms that brutal performer. Now with next gen pulsar tvs will have really tough fight as far as build quality is concerned as apache 200 is also know to have great build quality unlikely of tvs brand...since we gudge every aspect of bike apache 200 is sure to fall short for its 200 image as initial impressions suggest... Correct me if i am wrong..☺... Apaches and pulsars are the best indegenous bikes from tvs and bajaj, very good contenders and rivals and both make us proud as indians..☺

          Hi Guys,

Zeroed on AS200 and have taken test drive also. All looks good the height, the weight, the ergonomics and the Half fairing also suited to my physique.
Going home for 2 weeks for Holi and as soon as I return I will purchase it the same day.

Thanks to all of you who helped me in taking the decision.
          Cheers,
