    Re: bike suggestion!!

    Query Approved

Are the Suzuki and Kawasaki Supersports available in India? Not that i know of, except used and those would probably be grey!

In India the only Supersport available is the Daytona.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      Re: bike suggestion!!

Forum join karte hi SBK query sounds something fishy. No offense meant to TS. Its just sbk queries has become a mundane thing from people who are just here to troll and wants to get beated with keyboard.

To Thread starter, how much is the word "enough experience" ?

Supersport from jap 4 is not available in India legally.

Honda cbr650f is not actually a supersport bike.

Are you really going to purchase a superbike, because by experience many folks have started the superbike purchase thread and disappeared when the advices came in.

Not to discourage you, but if you are really serious about it. Let us know the following details :

      1. Budget
      2. Intended usage monthly
      3. City/highway riding percentage
      4. Pillion comfort necessary ?
      5. Are you ready for maintenance of a sbk
      6. Have you done enough research as how much powerful these bikes are.
      7. Any constraints regarding height factor.

If I missed out on any, forum members pls add them. Thanks!!!

      Cheers,
      Sanjay

Like what Avinash pointed out, the ZX-6r and GSXR-600 is not available in the country legally yet. You can import one IF YOU CAN.
May I know what would be your intended purpose of buying an SBK, Daytona is a track bred one, CBR-650 is not a super sport, rather it is a sports tourer.

If you are planning to hit the track, Daytona is good choice and hope your budget is limited to 11L.

No, it is next to impossible for these supersport machine to be here as the indian law of protecting the domestic manufacturers in the sub 800cc class.

Even if they do get launched here expect a price tag beyond your budget, due to homologation.

The only supersport readily available will.be the Daytona 675 without the R and with the R in place it is near around 14lacs.

Check out the naked offerings like

              1. Street triple
              2. Z800
              3. Benelli
4 the recently launched yamaha mt09, not sure if it is launched in India though.
              5. Suzuki Bandit
              6. Versys 650

If you are a sucker for fairing then very limited choices my friend

              1. Cbr650f
              2. Ninja 650
              3. Daytona 675.

You might be able to get few supersports bike in second hand market, but as avinash has mentioned it will be from grey. Tough to find a legal supersport with all clearances.

              Cheers,
              Sanjay

                Re: bike suggestion!!

see...this is what happens to a most of the superbike query (TS don't reply in most cases after starting the thread)

Can't mods lock or remove the thread where people start a thread and disappear ?

It adds to the frustrations when the thread started disappear.

                Cheers,

Nobody has put a gun on me, FYI. its not related to this thread only. Many superbike threads are lying unattended from the TS. Just 1 post and they get lost someplace.

I see your comment as very useful which will help the TS shortlist a bike.

You are putting too much effort in making a useless comment. Like I said before, if you dont have anything useful to contribute, just refrain from Commenting, its that simple. You gave the OP a few suggestions, good, bravo! Now go away, the OP does NOT have to make a reply to your post in order to acknowledge it. The fact that you are bothered by it shows your self obsessed Ego.

Calling me a troll shows how insecure you are feeling right now. Thats ok. I am not even Mad. It happens to the best of us. Chill. Its not good to get so easily offended when someone gives you an advice. Just take it and leave it.
