And yes, the NS is perfect for you. So is the ZMR.

The CBRs, you will not get any good ones in that price, and the Impulse makes no sense as your only bike. Its slower than your current bike AFAIK.
I got a chance to ride 200NS. I loved the upright riding posture not aggressive alike peers. But I did had the issue with foot brakes. My legs were running out of them and I need to plug myself to them. I am used to the so relaxed brakes in the bullet but I should say that 200NS is one bloody fellow with the right gears.
Should I go with it? Can I live with front brakes alone or search for something else? I believe you can rotate/swivel the foot brake lever to get the level adjusted.

If the riding posture is not a problem for you then you can fabricate the brake lever according you your needs. It's an easy mod. Sometimes even adding a rubber sleeve on top of the lever should help.

I agree NS 200 has got the perfect gear ratio as compared to the Duke 200.

Oh! Just the level of pedals. I thought I could loose the clamp and rotate it to adjust the level. Isn't it?

          Buying a preowned Pulsar 200NS

Being 6'3" I have ridden and almost decided with Pulsar 200NS but kind of weird that the pricing being crazy and about the quality. I see that no new one's are available even as clearance from Bajaj dealers here and needed to edge on a used one.
I see a lot of options and here are few requiring comments

          2012 200NS - 20k Run - 60k
          2014 200NS - 22K Run - 70k

Both machines feels the same but should I give edge to 2014 over 2012 in-terms of reliability and build quality? or 200NS is unlike KTM where buying a used one is death bed. Also some do say that Pulsar gives lot of niggles post 20k run because of build, is that so?

What are the things I should look while buying a 200NS? I have never ridden any bike extensively other than the bullet.

No idea about the brake lever adjustment. 200ns owners please help him here.

It's believed that the latter 200ns were fine tuned to get rid of some problems that were in the initial batches, so it's better to opt for the latest model. Rattling is a big issue when the pulsar ages. Sometimes due to poor riding/maintanance the valves & the engine head might have damaged, must be thoroughly checked. Apart from that tyres, brake pads, alloy bends, wiring (if any auxiliary lights, relay fixed). Take a mechanic with you for checking the bike.
              Ride Safe!
