A 200cc plus bike never feels different with a pillion (almost!!! That's what I like in 220 )....if please some1 could elaborate???
Depends on how heavy the pillion is. But yes in most cases the R15 will not accelerate as fast with a pillion, as it would with only the rider on board.
Also if you have a pillion on R15 you will not want to ride fast because, when riding fast you will have to brake equally hard to stop, and as soon as you touch the brakes of an R15, the whole weight of the pillion falls on your back, shoulders and wrists, which gets really painful really soon.
Rc 200 will be faster with a pillion but the high pillion seat has the same problem of weight being transferred to the rider.
Why don't you tag along with your friend for the test rides of both the bikes and see for your self...
A 10 min test ride will tell you more about a bike more than a week of reading on the internet. The sound of the engine, the vibrations, the bite of the brakes, how the bike behaves in real life traffic, and in your case what happens when you have a pillion on backseat.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

R15 is an underpowered bike(Specially with pillion, and a set of terrible headlights and almost non usable Pillion ).RC is way way faster.ITs aggressive ,but not meant for city.Look for atleast a 200CC bike.May it be NS/RS/RC etc...Originally posted by Ankey View PostDepends on how heavy the pillion is. My money would be on R15S. Ticks almost all the boxes!A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: Which bike for city ride? URGENT!!!!
By fast city rides i mean when i can overtake most of the cars and bikes on a tap when i want to... I dont know but with due respect in kolkata we have by-passes and long one way bridges where the entire traffic flows with a minimum speed of 70kmph....i should be able to cope in such roads and that too with superior power advantages and thus i think we will be going for rc200.... Anyways thanks everyone for their suggestion.... I will still be waiting for more comments (its always informative to learn from xbhpians) , till we confirmly book the bike...Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostWhat do you mean by "fast city rides"? Do you realize standard speed limit in the city is 40-50?

Re: Which bike for city ride? URGENT!!!!
Well can someone compare the practical power of pulsar 150 , 220, r15 and rc200....a brief and informative comparo of the power in city ( also highways) would be a welcome... As of now we are trying to get test rides..... And let me inform in kolkata where we travel at times the whole traffic moves with a minimum of 70kmph so high speed power response should also be a factor.... No online comparos can help us like xbhpians can do...so i am really waiting to get some more reviews.... Thanks
