  • Please suggest a suitable bike as I am totally confused.

    Hi,
I am planning to get a new love..

I have a budget of a max of 1.5 lakhs
    I am 24
    Height :- 5'9"
Weight:- a little on the higher side ( 85kgs)
Usage:- for daily commuting/long distance rides
Fuel efficiency :- anything above 40 is acceptable.
    City/highway percentage :- 60/40
    Daily usage:- about 80 kms
Location:- City ( Kolkata), and highway (NH-2);-)
Bikes preferred:- well, that's the confusion.
    a) R15 v 3.0
    b) NS 150/200
I don't like bikes which loosens up as time passes by.
I love to have a pillion with me which adds up to the load thus power is essential.
Blindly prefer liquid cooling as I love travelling on my bike for long distances and I believe that a 150 cc engine is capable enough.
I am looking for advantages of R15 v 3.0 over R15s as the single seat is pulling me in.
Pulsar NS is an awesome ride but it does not stay the same for long.

Is there anything else in the 150-200 cc segment with a liquid cooled engine..?

    Thank you in advance..

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Since your heart is on the R15s, it would be the best option considering the minimum mileage you want is 40.
Plus a Yamaha would give you tension free ownership

The next confusion arriving as if to wait for R15 v 3.0 or go for R15s...
I have some time as I will get it by mid 2016.
I just need to find out the differences between these two machines. I have heard that the v 3.0 might come with a much refined engine and thus the dilemma.

Other suggestions would be the Hornet, has enough power and torque figures for riding with a pillion. Though it lacks on the Top end.
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

Wish such requirement i will go with R15 because of its good power, reliability, eye candy design and yes Yamaha for making super refined engine.
