Do not leave your decision to poll brother. What if you buy some bike based on the poll and then you realize that you don't like it after buying ? End of the day it's you who is going to buy and use it. If you are so much confused between the 4 bikes, better test ride and get to know ease/cost of maintenance of all bikes and then decide. If you already like avenger so much, why confuse yourself ?

The poll is created for the final decision. Here if not all the members at least Mods are Biking encyclopaedia. So even I buy a bike on poll result, I am sure I won't regret it at all.Originally posted by satish_patil View PostDo not leave your decision to poll brother. Also, I am not confused at all. I like / Love Avenger since it was Eliminator, and even we had Enticer in the family. This I can buy any day blindly without even test riding the new models.
But again, goal of having such forum dies, when you just go by your instinct. It is like finalising / getting info about your destination, before embarking on a journey. And everyone do that...right?

Re: What Bike...A Tourer in Budget.
My honest opinion is - you can try to find a rental bike for your occasional touring needs. I am not sure how easy it is to find a good rental bike, but I feel it is worthy option to consider than buying a bike and keeping it idle.Originally posted by zking View PostActually am a NRI. [OT - Sorrow story of my Unicorn] I was abroad for 9 months and handed over bike keys to my brother and cousin to use. When I came back, I shocked to see that they never changed engine oil and keep riding whenever they needed. I had to replace cylinder and piston and eventually sold it.Life is beautiful! * Conditions apply

Re: What Bike...A Tourer in Budget.
I just said not to rely completely on poll because there may be a case where people from only one group may take the poll in which case you will have wrong data. Let me give you an analogy. Suppose there is a poll - "Which team are you supporting in the world cup?" And it's taken by only 100 people, others either didn't see the poll or didn't bother to vote for the poll. They were 75 from Bangladesh, 10 from India and 15 from Australia who voted for their respective teams. Here Bangladesh got 75% votes. Does it mean that 75% of the world population is supporting them ?Originally posted by zking View PostThe poll is created for the final decision. Here if not all the members at least Mods are Biking encyclopaedia. I didn't say you should go purely by your instincts either.. Take suggestions/ opinions from all, do test rides and using all that information, decide which one suits you.. These forums are to give you suggestions brother, not to make decisions for you..
Anyways, it's your life. Your call. It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

Re: What Bike...A Tourer in Budget.
@ Satish_patil, prateek2210 Thanks very much. This is true xBhpianism. Concern for fellow members. Yes I will definitely take a test ride before finalising.
I just need a fair suggestion, which one will have a longer life in terms of maintenance & stability in my short listed four. as far as TD is concerned it will only give you idea of ride quality & comfortability, but not much about long time behaviour.
But again, when going through Avenger ownership thread and seeing the beauty in all Black, my heart started beating more for it. so Sorry!!!!VW Polo MPi

For a totally different bikes, you need to custom build a bike. I suggest Verdenchi which builds awesome custom bikes.
Just check the site: Custom made Motorcycles, Bikes, Customized Choppers by Vardenchi, India
Actually speaking i want a naked bike within a budget of 1.3 lakh (since has to afford for riding gears & mod) for touring as well as sporting purpose.DrAgOn

Re: What Bike...A Tourer in Budget.
I have almost finalised my bike (it's a secret will unveil soon
)
But as you all know I will be doing all those touring mostli pillion riding, I am in dilemma now. How to carry all those required baggage while riding with pillion.
Having saddle bags will obviously affect the Pillion seating. And I was searching for some kind of luggage trolley to be attached.
I saw this two things
Luggage Trailer in Nangal, Punjab, India - INDER AUTO INDUSTRIES
Motorcycle trailer - Team-BHP
How safe are these to attach? How road legal are these?VW Polo MPi
