Anyways, Busa is a sport-tourer, extremely silent even at high speeds, has a slightly higher handle& you can even make a pillion sit comfortably(don't accelarate too much, she would fly away though). Styling will also not be as aggressive as a supersport model (Busa is hyper sport category)
R1 would give you the scream&aggressive sport look&styling, not to mention speed bursts! And I have heard from R1 owners that it is very traffic friendly too.
But do you really intend to use the forthcoming bike for commuting?
yaah mainly for city commuting...not much long rides..n yes...Teach some Modified freaks tht they arent true riders...even i have 220 now...they r able to keep up wid me...lol....we have grp her in our city...who ride at night ..hardly at 124..lol......let show Em...

@wasim, lets not get OT here... Lets discuss the same in hyd xbhp thread. It was a ride to medak on the medhal highway that i always speak about.

@thread starter: If you are to decide between R1 and Busa... It depends on your taste.

As ken mentioned... for any kind of weekend bursts... Go for R1
For anykind bursts and touring... Go for Busa.

Rode a CBR yesterday.... Lots of difference between a sports and a sports tourer.

As i always say... testride and decide, but here its not possible. So its your call in between these two.

BTW...i hope you are planning to pick official models, isnt it ?

I think what you mean is the exhaust sound right ?

Both R1 and the 'Busa have the rumbling of an inline 4 so they will definitely be different from Indian bikes. Busa is a bit more muted than R1 but that can be easily changed with an after market exhaust.

In fact that is the most common accessory SBK owners get.
Also the Busa eats up the tires a lot faster than R1 even by SBK tire life standards. So factor in the spare replacement costs when you decide to purchase too !!
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

BUSA is a bike worth respecting, for its sheer speed, power n the monster it hides inside!
n believe me BUSA isnt any impractical bike. I had seen my friend doing corners @ 150 kmph on a BUSA! Its just how well you ride, it isnt the ride. Anyone game?
                      the BEST, now or never
in indian traffic sometimes even the bullets become a pain so forget about 600cc+
it seems u have limited info on sports bikes.
ALL bikes have enough SPEED to scare you out of your pants be is 600cc 1000cc or even 400cc heck a crappy RD350 will scare you . so what will u do with MORe than needed speed
speed is something that must be taken responsibly

are u going to corner all day long long at 150 not sure unless u live on a race track.
all sbks can corner at that speeds. i do early 130s on my zx10r am sure with more practise can do more.

indian traffic needs a bike that is agile , light like the r1 not a bulky looking beast like the busa. im not against it i do respect it. it is a beast all right and the king of sportsbikes but its not for india. the owner of this thread has done well in choosing the R1. a great bike forindia with great service and backup. if u wanna ride it everyday the BUSA is impractical period.

what u gonna do in summers fry eggs on the busa and eat them!!!!! consider the heating issue my friend. no offence but the blade or r1 is a MUCH MUCH MUCH better choice for india. no doubt the oppertunities of moding a busa are endless but that needs cash and purpose which in india is both hard. asimple example u wanna change the exhaust
u need one for the r1 and 2 for the busa.

make it easy get the blade/R1
