• Query on kinetic blaze

Hi all,
Hope you all are doing well.
I am Planning to go for a gearless scooter for my daily office commute.
Came to know about kinetic balze.
Read some reviews also, power and comfort seems to be good.
What about spare parts availability and service?
Can anyone throw some light on this.
Or please suggest any other scooter which is having good power.

Thanks in advance

Approved!

Blaze went out of production by 2010 IIRC. Spare parts availability is almost zero. Avoid at all costs.
Since it's not available new, I really doubt if all mechanicals and plastic parts will be in good condition.

Kindly share your budget so that members can chip in with advices.

Avoid it buddy! Spare parts are not available easily. I remember back in 2010 we needed accelerator cable and we had to wait for 10-15 days to get it.. All this when it was still in production. You have options like Vespa now. Tell us more about your budget and requirements so that members can suggest some.

Thankz sharan and Sanjay for your inputs.
So I ruled out blaze..

Reason for considering a new two wheeler is, now a days in Bangalore traffic is very huge, and it is increasing day by day.
Travelling in my CL500 seems to be very difficult and I feel some pain in my wrist.
So whatever alternative I have considered 1.rx100, 2.duke 200, 3.any gearless with good power.

For rx series and scooter my budget is max 30k
For duke or any other in that segment my budget is max 70k.

Hope you understand my situation.

Thanks

You already have a CL500 in your garage so I think it's better to go for a gearless scoot. You said your budget for Duke is 70k, in that range you will not get a bike which is in good shape buddy. Used dukes are available for 85k onwards. Get a RX if you love it and If you can maintain it well. It is very flickable in traffic but will not relieve your wrists from pain like the scoots. If you can manage with it well and good or else go for a scoot. Used dios and activas in good shape will be available within 30k and they are reliable too. Keep us updated on your decision! All the best!

Hi Sanjay thanks once again.

Main thing in scooters (say activa , my father in law has one) it's not connected. No rider feeling. I don't know how to explain that.
Anyway I am not inclined to scooters, the reason even I considered blaze, is having some power.

How about a used karizma?

Thanks

ZMA is a good product, however not the best choice for filtering through city traffic.
On the highways, it's a different story altogether!
If your usage is primarily for city, I would say - look at 'new' or slightly used 150cc bikes from Hero/Honda/Yamaha.
In fact, you can get a decent FZ for 70-75k in the used market.
Suzuki Gixxer being a relatively new offering is yet to hit the used market full fledgedly.

In case you still want a karizma, I would say - look at 2010+ models. It would cost between 35 to 40k and you can negotiate on top of it if you take a mechanic along who will give rough approximations on parts needing work.

Re: Query on kinetic blaze

Karizma is a good bike but considering your requirements, I feel you should go for a smaller displacement.. to make city rides easy.. Have you tried to consider the xtreme or TVS RTR 160?? But again, 2nd hand Karizma would be a good deal if you manage to get a good bike at the price mentioned by Divya Sharan.. take a mechanic who you can trust.

ZMA would be a good choice. If you are still considering a gearless scoot, check out the Suzuki Access 125. It has good suspension for bad Bangalore roads and a 125 cc engine which produces enough power to keep you happy in city traffic. Bigger engine than usual scoots makes more power and being a Suzuki, it is refined and smooth. Check it out if you are still considering gearless scoot with good power.

Re: Query on kinetic blaze

Consider a vespa 3-4 years scooter and that can be purchased from 35-40k with some less km on odo.
It's good and reliable adequate power,DC lightings, good riding posture than any other scooters.
Avg service cost will be 850-1k.
Milage figures will be around 40kmpl.
