  • Upgrading from Apache 150

Right now I'm thinking to upgrade from my 10years old Apache 150. I've fixed my budget under 2lacs. My requirements are like i'll go for highway cruising in a month like 500km in a day and back after fee days. As i stay out of station, it will be my partner to come home. After this there will be normal city riding 200km in a month.
    I'm 6'1" tall, 78kg in weight.
Kindly suggest some best bikes fulfills my requirements. I don't have any bikes in my head, coz I'm soo much confused to pick one.
Ride hard, Ride safe. Always wear a helmet.
    Cheers

    Want to upgrade my bike.

I am now planning to upgrade from Apache 150. Its being aged now since i purchased it on back 2006. Now its time to move on.
I've fixed my budget but still i'm unable to pick one. I'm too much confused what to buy.
My requirements are like this, Monthly Highway riding 1000km, as i stay out of station for my job purpose, i'll use to ride it to home and back to job site after 3 4 day. I've to cover 500km in a day. And there will be normal city ridings about 300km in a month.
I'm 6'1" in height and 78kg in weight.
I need a comfortable and powerful bike which can full my requirements.
Kindly suggest some bike which fulfills my requirements and the bike must be eye catchy.
    Ride safe ride hard.
    Always wear a helmet.
    Cheers

You've fixed your budget but you didn't mention it here? Anyhow, try going for Apache RTR 200, I believe it has all that you need.

In other choices you may consider Pulsar AS200. I've test ridden it, and I find it ok for your needs.

Re: Want to upgrade my bike.

+1 for the above post. If you are satisfied with the quality and after sales service of TVS, Apache 200 should be a good upgrade. Else go for Pulsar As200.
Also it would be helpful if you could let us know, what budget you have in mind, that we can filter our suggestions.
        Ride safe.

            Re: Upgrading from Apache 150

Avenger 220 for highway cruising and 6km per day fits perfectly, Honda CBR 250 for better quality and ride, and any other bike with oil /water cooling system as 500 km a day would need a better cooling system.

              Re: Upgrading from Apache 150

Honda CBR250 abs, Mahindra MOJO, Benelli tnt25 are good options in your budget. They all will serve the purpose efficiently.

CBR250R is a proven machine and is worth every penny. Get a test ride of the bike first and see if it suits you. You might want to look at KTMs, if you like the break neck acceleration and flickable nature.
Even I just upgraded from Apache 180 to CBR250R and I'm just loving every bit of it. On the highways it's a pure bliss to ride the CBR and it is manageable in the city traffic too. Keep us updated on your decision buddy.

You can also think of Ninja and Royal Enfield Classic.

I love the CBR250R. This was my dream bike when it launched in my college days. One of my friend have it. But rumors are coming that Honda going to launch CBR250RR updated version. As i see some pics on a Indonesian website. Should i wait or go ahead..?? Mojo isn't my type bike.
