    DUKE 390 or BENELLI TNT300....confused!!??!!...need advise

    Hi Guys,

    Planning a new bike which fits good with daily traffic commutes & weekend rides...

    Was taking reads on below bikes for some time..

    1) Kawasaki Ninja300(admired this several times in traffic)
    2) Benelli TNT300(Like it when i had test drive)
    3) KTM Duke 390(Loved its power)
    & Finally Kawasaki Z250(liked this bike more since it has attractive Z design lang)

    Pls advise which might suit well & slipping out little cash from my pocket...including maintenance cost & stuff...

      Why not the Yamaha R3?? TNT most promising naked , ninja 300 growing old now, duke is use and throw bike, and z250 is a costly affair, will last a lifetime but with higher cost of ownership.

      Check out the R3 instead. 😎

        +1 with KTMs.. Use and throw types... But if you maintain it well, it'll last longer..

          KTM for value for money.
          R3 or Ninja300 for Premiumness.

            The TNT300 is a great bike, but the maintenance cost will take a toll on your pocket. You will have to shell out atleast 20k per yr just for the servicing alone. KTM is a great bike and VFM, comes at almost 60% of the cost of the 300. Maintenance wise I am not sure, But I have ridden it once. Awesome power rush you feel.

            If nakeds if not your genre, Check out the R3, you will get the premium feel of a big bike.

              @iVinay had the same confusion but ended up buying the Benelli TNT 300. Please refer to his thread where we spoke in depth on almost all aspects and most importantly on the decision why he chose the Nelli.

                For rough and fun use with meager maintenance- D390
                For premium build and ride of twin- N300
                For something new which sounds orgasmic- TNT300
                If you have extra cash and want to waste it - Z250.

                  D390 is a very practical choice, fun to ride easy to maintain and most important it's the only in your list which comes with ABS
                  Also spares are reasonably priced..

                      Both dont have an expected launch date. You might end up waiting till 2017(or even more in case of 390 adv). So its upto you.

                          Practically, duke seems to be better option if you would not mind saving a bit. Its a vfm bike as everyone pointed out, good for beginners, easy to maintain, cheap spares, decent after sales service, can be easily personalised with custom choice of decals. Of everything the ECU with extensive info itself will blow ur mind (I swear it did when I compared d200 with other options). if you like premium looks and want a refined engine then u shud never look at duke. They aren't refined engines but they are fun to ride and specifically in city traffic. The only pain is, in the @$$ but can be negated easily. of other things it comes with ABS.

                          With new details coming up CS400 launch shud not be far but knowing Bajaj, it would be better to not hop in at launch as there wud be lot of issues. And Duke390 wud certainly be far better choice with incremental cost.

                            If you have got just about 2.5 lakhs to spend then go for the Duke390 no doubt its a very good bike. But if You wish to spend a little more then yeah of course you got more choices. I'm also planning to buy a new bike and the 1st bike that came to mind was Duke390 -- but then I started doing my own comparisons and came to narrowing down on my choice of bike. If I were to buy the Duke390 then it would only be because my budget is strictly at 2.5 lakhs -----if not then brother you may wanna test ride some of the bikes out there.

                              Benelli's main problem is DSK they are not that is what I heard.
                              Both Kawasaki's are good and proven but N300 is getting old and Z250 looks awesome but expensive.
                              I would personally prefer Duke 390 even thought it may phase out next year its the most refined one and never looks old in any angle and you can save money and buy some gear too.
