• Used Honda CBR 250R

Hello experts,

I am currently in search of getting my second set of wheels. My budget is around 80k INR and I would be primarily used this bike for weekend trips which will include highways and off-roading.

While browsing through the used bike ads, I've come across CBR 250Rs that are within my budget. Is this a good option for my requirements? If so, what are the things that I should look out for while going for a used CBR? Otherwise what are the other options that I can look for?

Any advice or suggestion will be very much appreciated.
Ben

Query approved!

Have a look at the physical condition of the bike(s) in question, take a long test ride and evaluate. Take your trusted friend/mechanic along to gauge the maintenence costs up front.

Most of the things are covered in the link shared by The Monk but try to get 2013 later model and mostly ABS.
It might extend your budget but worth it.

I doubt there will be any good post 2013 model in the market at 80K and that too with ABS!! He will have to extend his budget by 50% in this case..

@TS, what are your thoughts on the Duke 200? I have seen many touring on the Duke 200 and it has sufficient power.. otherwise, if you find a good CBR250R, it would be the best preferred..

Take a well known mechanic who can find out the pros and cons of the bike..
Ask the owner for the Original RC book, Insurance Policy...

Thanks for the suggestions.
The Monk, the thread has almost exactly what's on my mind right now.

I would love to go for an ABS version but that would blow my budget or I might have to skip buying a helmet which i'm not ready to do so .

I hope there are no major issues associated with the bike which i need to look out for

Honda's are known for their bullet proof engines. If the bike is taken care of, ie. servicing done at proper intervals, no major crashes and accidents etc then the bike will be a good investment.
Make sure you check all the things that are mentioned in the posts above and take a long test ride to make sure that it performs well.
If you have a trusted mechanic you can take him along and let him have a look at the bike.
All the best for the bike hunt.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

I bought an early 2012 CBR250R ABS last year and haven't regretted my decision. Here's to long rides and a lot of fun.
