• Best way to spend 50K? WARNING: Has typical @HyperRetard humour

Okay. I have saved about 50K since I last went shopping, which was March, when I bought my AS200.

So what is the best way to spend 50K?

Option 1
Spurce up the AS 200.

Better tyres, maybe a new exhaust (heard Mark Performance does some rad stuff. The noise will be an issue though) (Also open to suggestions if I do decide to go down this route, maybe new rims. Might do a few mods in this thread, apart from the ones that I have obviously disagreed with, e.g. the quick throttle)
Advantages:
Well, you're only making it better
Disadvantages
Well, my AS200 hasnt exactly been at the pinnacle of dependability, incase you've followed my "Have I been sold a lemon" thread, you'd know.

Option 2
Buy a used hero impulse.
Advantages
Proper adventure motorcycle. Can withstand an insane amount of abuse. Also simple construction. No Fi, no liquid cooled engine, no etc etc, so can be fixed anywhere
Disadvantages
Slow as hell. My AS200, which does about 135 max is starting to feel slow, what will happen in the impulse?
Might get tempted with an engine swap, and thereby end up having an absolutely useless motorcycle (AS200 with impulse engine. Sounds about as exciting as day before yesterday's Tinde ki sabzi, doesnt it?)

Option 3
Buy an used Royal Enfield Continental GT
Sell of the AS 200 (lets say I get 75K for it) + add 50k = 125K
Buy a RE Continental GT (If I can find one for that price)
Advantages
Sexy as ****
Disadvantages
RE is not exactly known to be reliable, and my current AS200 isnt reliable either. What if I sell of an unreliable motorcycle for another unreliable motorcycle? That will be like a prostitute changing her city. Still getting ****ed, just by different people. Also the Bajaj people, are atleast polite when they **** me over, and smile, and give me a chair to sit on, RE, well, thats unchartered waters.
The Ergonomics are going to be an issue for a 6'1 rider.
I have a big backside, so I might sort of look inappropriate on a cafe racer styled motorcycle.

Option 4
save another 50K in another 6 months
50 current + 50 future = 100k
Buy another motorcycle for like 1 lakh rupees and keep the AS200.
Advantages
Errr? What exactly? You already have a 1 lakh rupee motorcycle. Duh.
Disadvantages
What 1 lakh rupee motorcycle will be better than what I currently have? I might end up with two AS200s. Oh the stupidity HyperRetard THE STUPIDITY!!!

Option 5
save another 50K in another 6 months
50 current + 50 future = 100k
Sell off the AS200 (lets say I get 60 K for it)
Total = 160K
Buy either a used D390 or a used Hyosung GT250R or a used Himalayan, or maybe even a mojo. Or go full retard and get a used Ninja 650 or the Hyosung 650. (note to self: Never go full retard)
Advantages
Proper tourers ( like the last two)
Proper fun (the first two)
Disadvantages

One important thing that one needs to do after buying a bike is to ride the darned thing! You seemed to have missed out on this cardinal rule.

Ride the AS. Clock a few more kilometres (a little more than 20km would be nice, though no pressure!), see if the bike is not giving you anymore trouble. Sell if it is, invest in it if not.

After reading your Lemon thread, i do have my reservations about you actually managing to put the AS engine in the Impulse.

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Buy a used bike which might have been sold off for the very same reason you are selling your bike! From the frying pan into the fire...

EDIT: What has the world come to...this being passed off as humour

Option 3 and you can get a used Duke 390 or a CBR250R-ABS
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

Still looking out for the humour in the mentioned options.
Oh forgot this is retarded humour, sane people have difficulty finding it

Salt. Salt. and more salt.

And yes. I wrote that.

And as for sanity, I'd let these two quotes do the talking.

Ride the darned thing. Where to?
And as for the engine swap, there is no way I'm going to do it myself. Might as well pay someone to do it. The engine swap is a very remote possibility, though.

humour is like time to ride, some people just dont get it

Park your 50 in a growth oriented mutual fund when the market is down. After a couple more years, and more savings you can get a bigger bike.

So as per the OP his bike is like a prostitute. And he thinks jumping to an RE would be akin to trading 2 prostitutes or the same one changing cities.

So, nowadays insults are passed as rad humour!

The guy hasn't ridden his bike and wants to drain 50k more.
Don't have anywhere to ride to, but I want to spend 50k.

For what? Why do we have this thread in the first place?

Put those 50k in some form of bonds/investments.

Park the 50k as investment this year. Now you can keep adding some amount at regular intervals of time.
Say you add 10k quarterly. You have 40k a year. Set a recurring deposit for 5 years or 3 years. Or invest the same in PPF. Gains are considerable.

After 3 years, you'll have ridden your bike a bit and you'll have close to 1.5 lacs (3 years later) to splurge on mods or a new bike.

And no. Incase you are having issues comprehending simple English. I compared *MYSELF* with a prostitute. Because I am getting ****ed by Bajaj ASS, and if I switch over, I may get ****ed by RE ASS.

And that would be like a prostitute(me, analogically) going from one city(Bajaj ASS, analogically), to another (RE ass, again analogically). Well, no matter what city, a prostitute gets ****ed.

And I have absolutely no idea why everyone is appalled so much at some harmless self-deprecating humour.

This guy didnt ride the bike for the first 45 days because of a botched up Regn issues. Then this guy rode 450 km/one day trip the day he got is RC. The this guy's bike has been parked ever since, because of various issues, domestic, as well as academic, as well as professional.

Then the guy wanted to ride to Mughal Road, but Kashmir valley was(still is?) up in arms over something.

Then they guy's mom had to undertake a TKR operation, and he is continuously at home, at her beck and call 24x7.

Apologies. Didn't catch the simple English.
Ride the bike. You rode only a few hundred kilometers and declared your bike a lemon.
By the way, is it your money you talking about?

Personally, I feel money is money, whether it's yours, your parents or that old lady's who you bopped over the head last night.

Money is like a seed, either you eat it now, or wait for it to grow.

History has so many lessons for us, from athletes to cons, who fail to manage their money wisely.

One dude who made off with a fraud, purchased a brand new Safari with his ill gotten gains. "Ding dong " came the IT department, asking where he got the funds for that, if his business was at loss, as per his IT claims. Dude is chilling in jail right now, and somebody in the IT Dept is driving a spanking new Safari.

We overjoyed when we have 50k to spend, but let's take a look at the Ambanis. Their cars are probably registered in the company's name, so they can offset the depreciation against RIL profit.

Yeah, they're THAT careful, despite having zillions.

Just to clarify for the interests of various people here

a) its my money. MINE.
b) I dont really appreciate moralistic ideological preaching.
c) I'd rather die a pauper having spent my money on things I like than a bank full of papers(read currency notes).
