  • Pulsar 220,as200 or Apache200

Hello, fellow members I need your advice for choosing the bike as my mind has give up and even Google is unable to help.
    Currently own Apache 180.
Height 5 10 , weight -the needle of scale can go somewhat more
Main uses in city, weekend trip to Hilly areas and once in blue moon to highways
I am confused among Apache 200,pulsar 220 and pulsar as200.my heart is tilting towards pulsar , however I do not know which model of pulsar will be discontinued given the fact no showroom in my city has as200

No showroom has AS200 because Bajaj has stopped productions. Yet AS150 is available is available. That's irritating. I was to buy one AS200 but was asked by salesperson I could buy 150. Next motorcycle was older one, 220 and have booked one. But test drive of both the motorcycles is suggested. The motorcycle should suit you first.

If you are to get a semifaired bike, Wait for festive season. Bajaj will upgrade the AS in the lines of NS. If nakec is what you need, Apache200 will do.
About P220- its still the beast. Only thing it lack is the refinement. But its still the most VFM touring machine.

The biggest fear with Bajaj is that they stop the production of any vehicle any time .do not know the future of 220 too,so I am left with only one choice that is Apache 200

The biggest advantage of having a bajaj bike is that you will spares in abundance. You will never be short of any spares unlike other blokes in the market.

P.s : i own a bajaj, hero, honda bikes. I do know who has better supply and huge network of parts.

                Cheers,

I believe that was just a typo error from sambit. AS is same as NS, the only addition AS has is the bikini fairing and a windscreen and the rear mudguard.

All things considered, RTR200 with ABS would be a proper upgrade for you brother.
Moreover you being an owner of the RTR will have a very good idea about how the service centers are, how good is the after sales service etc etc.
So it will be a good upgrade in your well known territory.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

As you need to run in mountains with cold to very cold climate, I would suggest you better have an FI version as RTR do not have kick start and cold start can drain your battery. Secondly, what you will mostly need will be low and mid range torque which RTR have better. Check time schedule of RTR200 FI /ABS launch. You may check Hero models but in any case go for 200 CC or better displacement only.

No, not a Typo. I meant, just like NS is rumored to get an upgrade(might be with an addition of FI), AS200 might soon follow. The strategy might be to take on RTR200-FI during the festive season. So wait for a month or so, competition might just fierce up. Then you might have both Apache and Pulsar with FI, to choose from.
This is just a speculation. No reason, it will come true.
