Re: Need a bike that can sustain test of time

Siddhant, the way I see it, new bikes are gonna be launched anyway, no matter which bike you buy.

It makes sense to wait for the BMW 310 if you already have a bike. If you're in urgent need of a bike, then waiting would be tortorous, because God knows how many delays may happen.

The current delay is due to supply chain problems. Quite possibly, once the bookings start, it will be another 2-3 months before customers get their bikes. So be prepared to wait another year.

You already seen 150cc, 350cc. There is no point in upgrading to 400cc bike now. The best bet will be to go with >600cc, versys 650 suits the jump.

Re: Need a bike that can sustain test of time

        Hi,

I would like to give my two bits.

I am one of the top 100 customers of Mahindra Mojo and the bike is a gem as far as the engine is concerned. Though after sales is really pathetic.

I am also an owner of Repsol Edition CBR250R and its one gem of a bike. It has best engine for touring. I love the seating position and the comfort that the bike offers over long distance. CBR250R is here to stay in India and just recently I saw that they are again starting booking for the Repsol Edition for 2016. This bike can be your daily workhorse as well as can be your long tourer at the weekend. You will not regret buying it.

Other options that you have - V400 from Bajaj, its still not a tested bike and best is to leave it for some time.

Be rest assured, with CBR you will not need anything else for good amount of time.

And if you can really stretch your budget to 4 lakhs, best is to buy a used N650 as you will get very good options in that price range. Probably 2015 version with very few KMs done. N650 is better bike than the N300 or the R3 and buying a pre-owned 650 should not be any issue at all.

        Regards,
        Kailash

During the festive period of Dusshera, Navratri and Diwali in 2019, BMW India has registered their highest ever bookings for motorcycles.

In light of the news that BMW G310 GS would be launched by 2017 end and probably deliveries to commence by 2018 February or March, I think it makes sense to go for the Honda CBR 250R now.

Guys, any idea if the CBR250R Repsol edition is produced anymore?
          2013-17: Yamaha FZ 16
          2019-Present: 2018 Honda CBR 250R

Yeaterday after reading the comments on this thread or on ownership thread bennelli is not looking as a great option , most people are selling their bennelli or other face lot of problem with them.
Due to this I was too looking at a second hand Kawasaki ninja 650 but the problem is I don't like full fairing bike's at all.
Mt-03 was my best option but it's not coming to india feel disappointed in yamaha.
Did like Kawasaki ER-6N but too out of my budget.

Kawasaki z250? Heard it's a great looking bike with the Ninja 250 engine tuned for more torque.

Yeah have seen z250, when went to see duke 390. Found its posture extremely likeable after riding ktm 390. But the price was 3.4, so friends told me at that price I can bennelli tnt 300 and yamaha mt-03.
But now yamaha mt-03 isn't launching, will surely look at this bike again.

IMO It wont come under MT series and it may named as FZ 250. Also Engine highly resembles Yamaha Fazer/YBR 250 which is available in other countries and it is oil cooled, pumps out 21 bhp.

21 bhp from 250cc seems to low.
