Re: Help, Choosing between Fz25 and RtR200

Although TVS has surely built a very ood machine in RTR200, I'd suggest FZ25. If you consider a long time association, FZ25 offers a much better option. Just see how many FZ/FZ-S is still around with almost no problems and 70k+ on the odo, you'll be able to gauge the relaibility and stability of the FZ series. And FZ25 is is only an upgrade. Also, it feels premium.
But, RTR 200 is a very good machine. Where is looses out to FZ25 is low-end torque, product quality and vibrations. TR200 wins in the pricing department. But, the ultimate decision should be taken by the rider who is supposed to ride a bike.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

FZ25-a beauty to ride-pricey but worth every penny-do take long test rides on both and you'll know why FZ costs way more.

Re: Help, Choosing between Fz25 and RtR200

I am in the same boat. Hanging in there, pushing my purchase decision ahead trying to decide which bike to get, The Apache RTR 200 4v or the Yamaha FZ25.

In my research the only considerable difference in these two is the price and the fuel economy. Quality- to some TVS is better and some prefer Yamaha. Me personally, I feel the Apache is slightly better, considering the ₹₹₹ you put in.

While I dont know anyone who owns the Apache 200 or the FZ25, I have read through numerous reviews and forum posts and I can conclude that the FZ offers better fuel economy than the Apache. But where the Apache takes back the advantage is in the, cornering and handling. Not that the FZ is bad. But the Apache is much more involving.(how I wish the FZ25 had radials in the back)

So in reality, no matter how much you read, who's opinion you consider(no offence to the gurus) you HAVE to ride both these beauties to know who will serve you better.
