Re: Ktm duke 390 2017 or thunderbird 500

Since I am not in my thirties I won't talk about myself. But I know a friend of my father who is 45+ and still rides a black Yamaha r15. And like everybody said, age is JUST a number.
I've ridden tb350 myself and enjoyed ridding it, no doubt. Plus your other better half can sit sideways without any issues, true. But then the real question. Is that really worth the money? I mean, the Major Safety Missing, ABS. But then, in the end, it is your money and your bike.
Well whatever bike you choose, wish you all the best.

    Ride safe. Take care.

I am 40+ and actively looking at buying a bike again after a gap of almost 18 years of not owning one. My post should appear under this sub-forum as soon a mod approves. However my limited point, if you're fit, and have no issues relating to health of bones / joints, age shouldn't be a barrier![/

Yea because I feel at 40 I wont feel comfortable riding duke -390 with my better half.
well it's to each his own kinda thing.

you have company, I am 45+ and had enjoyed Duke 200 (2012)and now enjoying the new Duke 390 (2017 model) . Age is just a number as long as you are fit to ride.

Using it to for daily Commute to office and occasional highway ride. feeling very young on Duke 390.

      happy Duking

forget about the safety features the reliability and shoddy service from the RE guys itself is a big NO NO. my close rides buddy is 62 now and recently got a KTM390 from a CBR250r...

KTM it is.... gone are those RE days of 90's when it used to be the go to machine... much better options now.
infact Mojo and Dominar are another better options.

If money is not a problem then you can consider TNT300. No matter what people say, it’s abs excellent commuter, those sofa seats and that sweet exhaust note will turn your frown upside down every time you ride it. Otherwise you can consider G310GS
