1. Authorized Yamaha service centers all across country.(you will find the Kawasaki ones only in big enough cities).
2. Availability of spare parts. Yamaha spares are easily available. For Ninja 300 I have known people who have been waiting for more than 2 months for as basic things as brake pads.
3. Service and maintenance. Well it is pointless to compare the money spent on service on such premium and expensive bikes(relative to India), but still Yammy is much much cheaper to service and maintain than Kawa. The difference is much more pronounced if you crash and have to replace certain parts. After the cost difference, remember you will have to wait more than a few weeks to get the kawa parts(months maybe), while in case of Yammy the parts are always available from basic things like brake pads to fairings to body kits.
This is on top of my mind. Will update if I remember to add something.
Choose wisely.
R3 hands down reason as follow:
1. More of everything..cc..power..torque..ground clearance power to weight ratio
2. Better instrument console
3. More value for money - Spares and service cost is cheaper than Ninja 300 again for example sprocket chain set for R3 is around 6 to 7 K while for Ninja its 20K +
4. Ninja 300 is old design compared to R3
5. R3 is more comfortable to ride than Ninja 300
6 .R3 has better brakes
7. Ninja Service is done as per hourly rate of Rs 1200 per hour plus taxes ..spares are additional so imagine
But for the love of GOD if you are buying R3 and IF you are seasoned rider and cant afford PLEASE change the stock tyres to Michellin or Pirellis
Also use good branded full synthetic oil like SHELL / MOTUL instead of the YAMALUBE shit
Ride HARD but Ride SAFE
Cheers !!

Re: Yamaha R3 vs Kawasaki Ninja 300
I guess with the addition of ABS and new BS4 standards (doesnt matter with regards to the ride itself), R3 is the hands down winner right now?
Oh, did I forget to mention that they have Metzeller tyres now?
And help me here, a bit off track, but R3 or Apache 310, which is less dedicated? I am upgrading from a 180 RTR ABS.#Shadowfax Apache RTR 180 ABS - 2014 - 2019

With the recent price cut of N300, it not so easy to decide now...Originally posted by Raman Swaminathan View PostI guess with the addition of ABS and new BS4 standards (doesnt matter with regards to the ride itself), R3 is the hands down winner right now?

I would like that even better on a Ninja. In fact, my friend is looking to upgrade all the lights on his 2014 Ninja soon after we finished installing the suspension from 4Wheelonline onto the truck. We'll see about that.Originally posted by Danej View PostRe: Yamaha R3 vs Kawasaki Ninja 300
Read that New R3 may get LED lamps.. Would be killer!
