Well guys I'm in a big big dilemma right now......
I test rode fz25 and loved the acceleration .kind of high tech Enfield with great handling + speed haha. I have read all 200 + pages of fz25 ownership and the headlight is satisfactory once you adjust it to raise it to top level it seems(fellow xbhpians said) and for me highways + nights+2lane+twisties is always below 80 so not a big of a problem I guess.
My doubt is might seem funny but the ENGINE TECH of the ns200 and fz250. Fz250 is yet to prove it's sturdiness and the copper washers tend to fail for some fellow xbhpians. Ns200 is now a bit proven machine I guess...I'll loose that huge torque for some money saved ie nrs60000 around if I go with NS.
I tend to care and keep my bike for 7+ years at least. So I have a cold spot somewhere for the Yamaha engine. I may be completely wrong and I wish to be wrong as I liked fz a lot and I will surely miss the pull with a pillion that fz does ...it's mind boggling..
How would you guys compare reliability of NS engine and yammy engine.i get that it's a no-brainer but since Yamaha has yet to prove this engine...I'm thinking for the NS as a competitor. Also gear shifts in both bikes said to be not top notch. So huge confusion. I do want a reliable engine.and yes Yamaha messes sometimes I guess....my brother used to get 29 on fz16 first model....recent models with Fi and all returns him 47 .
