However having recently test ridden several bikes, in my humble opinion nothing beats the Apaches right now. TVS has really done an amazing job with the new engine; smooth as silk! Also has the good stuff like ABS, Slipper clutch etc. ~1.35 on road in Delhi.

Right on Bro! And I have test ridden it back to back with duke 390, dominar, FZ, Xtreme and Hornet. It just hits the right note for me too.

Go for rtr 160 4v, it's the best 160cc aircooled motorcycle in india, in terms of everything, price, power, mileage, technology, reliability of tvs, best in class fit and finish, comfortable seats, comfortable suspension setup, petal disc brakes, only 4 valves engine in segment.

Sorry, didn't ride the <150cc besides apache, hornet and gixxer. Of the three, for me the Apache 160 4v wins out.

If smoothness in engine is your priority nothing beats it. Not to mention that Japanese engines will be able to accompany you life time if cared for in timely manner.

Not the only 4V in segment, don't forget NS160.

As per looks, milage, reliability concern hornet leads
Rtr 160 v4 can be a good choice as well as it deliver much better torque power figures in 160 segment. But tvs lack in aftersales.
Though honda and bajaj got their SS in every nook and corner.
Ns160 is not recommended at all.
Even x blade can be a good choice as it got the taste of premium commuter in 160 segment.

P220 or RTR 200 then. What NS200 lacks in low end, P220 has exactly that, the reason I went with P220.

Sure indeed. And NS won't return much FE comparing with RTR and P220!!
