However a real tourer doesn't need all that. Even I didn't buy a Dominar seeing all that. All I wanted was a relaxed ride. I feel CBR is worth it even to this day and as for shoulder pain, I wonder why he never thought of buying a handle bar raiser. Costs just ₹1k but totally worth for relaxed touring.
Handle bar ricers available for cbr? Never heard of that. Can you explain? I checked some foreign sites but all are damn expensive

Sorry totally forgot that CBR has a split handlebar. You will need a mechanic to help design a pipe handle bar and use forged handle bar raisers which is a expensive deal and not recommended.

There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

CBR is a good motorcycle. I’ve owned one in the past. If you’re getting a bike solely for touring purpose(no form only function) go with the CBR. The only problem is its 2018 and its been around since 2011. Its reliable, refined, cheap to maintain and most importantly comfortable. The one thing you should consider is this bike is mostly ignored by Honda in term of facelift/feature upgrade and even if you hold on to bike for 4-5 years it will feel agricultural considering plethora of modern launches in its price range by other companies.

            P.S: I own a Dominar 2018 variant.
This means Dominar is not refined, handles poorly(despite having better chassis and feel than older spec chassis of CBR/VFR) and is heavy on the wrong side as a RE?
When I rode CBR/VFR 250, it did not feel like it has superb chassis and handling. This is for physique.
Dominar on the other hand felt better and easier and surprisingly not heavy despite what the numbers say.
            I'm 5'6" and 62 kilos.
