    Hi,
I have been looking for a upgrade from my Apache 180 STD. Want some thing good in comfort and reliability. Will avenger street 220 do the trick ?.
    Budget 1.3L max.

yes, the Avenger 220 would be a worthy upgrade. but please keep in mind that the riding dynamics of the cruiser would be a lot different than your current bike.
I ride a R15V2 and usually have to ride my friend's Avenger, and its a big difference. No matter how many times I ride that bike it feels really awkward and I'm always conscious. I have never faced this issue while riding any other commuter bikes or nakes street bikes. So please take a ling test ride of the Avenger and make sure that you are ok with the riding dynamics.

As an alternate option (and if you can stretch your budget), do check out the Fz25. It is a worthy upgrade and the naked bike riding is right up your alley. The bike is unbelievably comfortable, be it city commutes or long rides. The power is enough to keep you at triple digit speeds and Yamaha reliability and niggle free ownership is added bonus. The only thing lacking is the 6th gear, but you don't get that in Avenger either.

The RTR200 with ABS is another value for money for bike. The ABS is a must have in today's world and none of the above provide it even as an option. And your experience with the TVS will come in handy as you already know how good or bad the service centers are and how is the after sales service at your city.

The hero Xtreme200 is recently launched and the reviews are quite good for a commuter. Personally it looks really boring to me, but if you have to carry a pillion with you most of the time (Wife, mom), it would be the most comfortable one after avenger. Comes with ABS as an option and I would advice to choose the ABS version.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

You should consider rtr 200 abs . Best bike within 1.3 lakhs. If you want cruiser bikes then you should wait for avenger 220 with abs till upcoming year. But, tvs has better reliability than bajaj.

Thanks for the plethora of options you have given , I plan to wait for some time and see if bajaj has any intention to introduce ABS or rear disc brake in Avenger series.

Only grudge I have from current ride is buzz in handle bars at speeds above 65kmph. Rtr 200 has split seats , though more often than not I ride without a pillion but will still keep it as last resort.[emoji4]

Any specific reason to why you decided on Avenger? It isnt going to be comfortable for you after riding RTR. What are your preferences. What will your use intent?

M fed up of buzz on foot pegs and handle bars. Avenger ses to offering a nice cruiser look and seating comfort though no rear disc. Engine reliability ??

                My preferences

                1. Should be dual purpose for daily commute as well.as occasional long drives.
                2. I prefer one without a split seat. Though have kept RTR 200 as last option.
3.Should not be heavy like RE bikes and must have good tank range.

Why not look for less used CBR250R? It is a beautiful bike with Honda reliability and smooth as silk! Comfortable for touring and city commutes. Has plenty of potential to overtake. Else if you can extend the budget, you can also try FZ25.

Cruisers might look great but i dont they will be a good touring machine in my opinion.

CBR250R would be a great buy if you can find a ABS model at less than 1L

If you are in Delhi NCR, you have to check the records to ensure you arent being cheated. And there are lots of options available at less than 1L.

                  Just a suggestion

Thanks for your suggestions, however honda CBR has a bent slightly seating. Yamaha has high cost of maintainence and spare parts... Then if it boils down to a naked bike I guess Apache 200 will b cheaper to maintain and powerful enough as well. Though I will ride Avenger multiple times before making a final call.

That seems like a good plan, since Bajaj recently gave he NS160 an optional disc brake. I hope that Bajaj provides the same option for Avenger as well.
But I wouldn't hold my breath just by hearing random news or rumors. If the rear disc is a must for you, visit the showroom and ask the manager about any plans for the rear disc in Avenger, also shoot a mail to Bajaj and see if they reply. If you get a confirmed news from a reliable source that it is in the pipelines and will is available in neat future, only then wait for it. Otherwise there is no sense in delaying based on just hope that maybe Bajaj will provide rear disc.
