Re: Confused between P180 & RTR 180 - City + Highway cruise
OMG , even your wife can't sit in NS200 .Originally posted by Zapps View PostMy cousin is advising me to get NS200 as it is only few thousands (4-5) more.
As you have mentioned earlier (rear seat should be comfortable), I'd listed the few bikes above.
NS200 is a good one either but delivers less mileage, and a rear seat is just a nightmare.
*IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT PILLION SEAT ,YOU CAN BUY NS200,RS200,D200,R15.

If you want pillion comfort go for xtreme 200 or rtr 160 4v, hornet, xblade. These bikes have a single seat also the pillion seat height is also low, which is an important factor for pillion comfort. If you want pillion comfort+ power+ low fe then go for dominar. If you dont need abs then buy dominar without abs. You can consider yamaha sz rr too.Originally posted by Zapps View PostMy cousin is advising me to get NS200 as it is only few thousands (4-5) more.

considering SZ RR, even Honda Unicorn 160 could be considered, don't you think?Originally posted by #bpk View PostIf you want pillion comfort go for xtreme 200 or rtr 160 4v, hornet, xblade. Yes, but in honda bikes you'll not get dc electricals, kill switch, and external oil filter( most important feature)Originally posted by Zapps View Postconsidering SZ RR, even Honda Unicorn 160 could be considered, don't you think?

Now, I'm ditching the pillion seat issue, as I would use my wife's Maestro Edge for those scenarios. NS200 seems like a good vfm bike, I'm getting it at 87k ex-showroom. what do you guys say?

test rode NS 200 & loved it. I'm still in a dilemma between P220 & NS 200 over FE. But personally, I like the naked look (without fairing) hence instead of P220, I feel like getting P180.

Why not try the Apache RTR 160 4v??Originally posted by Zapps View Posttest rode NS 200 & loved it. I'm still in a dilemma between P220 & NS 200 over FE. But personally, I like the naked look (without fairing) hence instead of P220, I feel like getting P180.
Almost as powerful as Pulsar 180, single piece seat for pillion comfort, no vibrations even at 100 kmph and better fuel efficiency.
It can be a lazy commuter (if you want it to be over) under 4k rpm and with a twist of the throttle, it can turn into a proper sportbike with 7k+ revs and no vibes.

I can go with RTR 200/160, but what I don't like is - its looks/not suited for long drives/makes lesser power/known to cause wrist painOriginally posted by twowheels View PostJust have a test ride on RTR 160 4v before buying any other bikes. I own an RTR 200 but would not suggest for you considering your budget.
Looks wise, it seems to me that they forgot top put on a cowl/visor on 160 - it looks weirdly bald to me.

Did you even see what I wrote there - I'm planning on NS200Originally posted by ayrus View PostWhy not try the Apache RTR 160 4v??

Maybe the RTR 200 makes less power but it can do 100 kmph without any signinficant vibes. Even the Hornet 160 feels a bit unrefined after riding the RTR 200. What it loses in power, it makes up in refinement. It can do 100 kmph without breaking a sweat.Originally posted by Zapps View PostI can go with RTR 200/160, but what I don't like is - its looks/not suited for long drives/makes lesser power/known to cause wrist pain

I have ridden 1½ hours continuosly and had no wrist pain. (planning for a longer ride in the near future) The riding position is very similar to the NS 200. (or a bit different – it's been very long since I rode a NS 200)
The clutch lever is placed a bit downwards but it is not something that you can't get used to.
Looks are subjective. But it definitely is unlike any other naked bike out there. Initially I didn't like the design (when I started to narrow down on a bike) but slowly I fell in love with it and now I own one. (I liked the v1 more than the current v2 though)
I feel like getting P180.It is why I suggested the 160 4v. It is also a good bike which can do 100 kmph and is also more refined. It is unlike any other 160 cc machine out there. It takes a bit of effort to get to 100 but can stay there stays there without any signs of being stressed. (it was my friend's bike and I had promised not to exceed 100 so I stopped with that)Did you even see what I wrote there - I'm planning on NS200
