Dont bother about resale. Bengaluru is where you have the most horrible paining cops (as per internet/friends). If you come to delhi/hyd etc no one will bother you mostly.

Unicorn has amazing road presence due to its height. Infact IMHO it is one of the best looking proportioned bike with that sexy mono-shock only gets beaten by P200!

This should help you if you decide for a Unicorn http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/what-bik...0-unicorn.html

Not only looks. The engine is very smooth. I have ridden the bike at 110kmph as well. No vibration at all. Even if you ride for 800km in a day in this bike, you will not feel any pain in your 'you know where'.

          Uni is the best

Honda Unicorn any time, Decent Fuel Efficiency, resale is better, no backpain, good riding comfort, better handling and breaking.
Just go for Unicorn with no second thought.

                - have a good frame, broad physique, 6' height...so it shld suit my personality..
                - and ya looks mai bindas ho...
                - i change a lot of cities(one of the reasons i have not bought a bike yet), so the bike should a good resale value.
ANy 125,135cc will be small for u (except may be Stunner). I suggest u look at 150cc bike if ur budget allows u.
How long u wish to use bike ?
GS150R may not give u good resale price, if that really matters u. And I guess its costly for ur budget. So I suggest u Unicorn. GO blindly with it..... If u want some style and flashy stickers, best are Hunk and xtreme. Alsmost same engine as that of unicorn. Just confirm their mileage.
                All the best.

Also, how about the Discover 135?
I checked out a parked XCD 135 today and yup it sure does seem ki it wont suit me. Quite narrow... loved the tail lights though. Will still give it a test drive... Haven't Gladiator and Disc135 been there since a long time and frankly their design don excite me at all... Though if budget crunch is on, should I consider a Gladiator? Any gladiator owner here who can confirm the pros and mileage?

I like the reviews GSR is getting but 2 things are making me think against it, budget & resale!! Achiever....ummmm..i don know...maybe a test drive will help...

Yup....even I am not sure abt GSR's resale and also its 68k...quite off budget
I like the look of Hunk but can a Hunk owner here confirm the mileage, 50+ is what I am looking for here...also for extreme...

TVS Flame, like the seating posture as I have driven it a lot, my room partner owns it, but don like the engine refinement...and the drive quality...too many vibs

Guys, I stay with friends here, and already have a pulsar, passion and flame parked in the garage....so all of them are ruled out, gotta stock in smthin diff now!

Most of the votes have been for Unicorn here which I had ruled out only because of the reason that like Pulsar, its too common but will have to reconsider and testdrive now... also, any idea what is its onroad price and mileage?

A bike was on my wishlist from a long time....you don fullfill such wishes with a 2nd hand man...have been changing cities every 3-4yrs til now...and its already been more than 1yr in bangalore...

Stunner is just looks and I dont feel its worth the price....or am I wrong!? I guess will have to go by the owner's experience of Unicorn, Hunk and Xtreme here...so ppl just fill me in....

Also, though GSR is outta budget and may not have a resale value....that's not gonna stop me from having a test drive... and that too after reading such praises abt it here....

Any other options that we are missing out here?!?!

Yes i agree, Pulsar is too common and is fast loosing on exclusivity too compared to Honda, Unicorn is Rs. 64,983 on-road Bangalore and regarding mileage, am getting 58-60kmpl on highways and 50-52 on city roads with normal petrol.

Try Yamaha Gladiator... It is 125cc commuter bike, milage may be a bit lower than other bike in the segment but engine performance is Very Good and long lasting. Mine friend has done 24000 kms in 2 years and no engine complaints like Bajaj bikes... []

If on a budget, then the Glady. Think now a days you get a fully speced bike (alloys, ES and disc brake) for about 48 K.
Obviously you are not considering below 125 cc right..I hope so.
Glady gives good mileage too..50-55 kmpl is sure...in city..
very good for week end rides too...something that no other 125 cc bike will be capable, maybe the stunner is, but a fully speced stunner is what Rs.55K???
The SS/RS is just above 50K on road I think.

If not on a budget, the Unicorn.
If you have to move around to other cities, and you are worried about that then go buy a good second hand bike. It will save a lot of trouble. But lots of guys have moved around India with their bike (like me)..so dont worry too much about that...
Do go for a test ride without fail before you decide..
