    Sidenote, the policy bazaar price does not include GST. So the price comes to a shade above 9000. Also remember to manually set your IDV to Rs. 1,05,000 (for ABS version of this bike).

    And yes, I bought the ABS version. It was a non-negotiable feature for me.
    Thank you.

    Yes, if GST of 18% is applied, it is nearly 9K. However, it is more advantageous than the dealer offered one.

    I checked with local United India Insurance office in my location and they said if policy is taken online, there will not be any connection with local branch. I was not aware of this before.

    So, I’m thinking to go with local branch even if it is little higher than online price.

      The company is still providing the insurance online or offline, they have to honor it, right?

      What was their offline quote?

        Actually, me too thought the same.

        But it works in a different way.

        If I take insurance from online, I can’t claim in their local office it seems. The office will be in any part of India and mostly we will be able to communicate via phone only.

        So it will be a risky one and time consuming process.

        So I have to take from their local branch only.

        From this, what I understand is these branches works like a franchise model.

        United India Insurance:
        Online quote ;
        ₹7577 + GST (5 yrs own damage and 3rd party damage)

        Local branch ;
        They don’t have idea. They will know only if we enter the bike details like engine and chassis number. (But I doubt this).
        Approximately it will be ₹15K for the same plan + an additional one which is 5 year accidental protection cover for bike owner alone.

          Thank you! I like the look and feel of the RS200 too, but the RTR 200 was extremely well rounded for the price and couldn't pass it up.

          I'm an inch shorter than you and did have some trouble with the knee recesses on the test ride. Moving further back made it pretty decent for me though, and it felt about the same as the NS200 I test rode prior. I plan to study the owner's manual thoroughly to learn more about break-in, etc for this motorcycle. I've been stalking the ownership thread for a few weeks already.

          Quick question: The dealership is ready to deliver the bike on a temp number. Should I take it with that or wait for the perm. registration formality to be completed.
          Where I come from we can take the vehicle with a temporary number which is valid for a month and we can apply for permanent one outside. However, I got mine from the authorised dealership itself. Got the motorcycle on 10 Feb and yesterday got the number plate yesterday. RC came in earlier.

            If it's 16k+, might as well go with a better provider. A cursory search over on TBHP shows that private insurers are better for claims. ICICI Lombard appears to have cashless tie-up with my dealership as well.
