You could go for P180 UG4 or the RTR (FI if you can) or wait for the RTR180 to release. However, I'm not sure what you can expect from P180 UG4's engine (in terms of mileage and performance) over a long term, because the older engine has been tweaked to give even more power... logically, it should give lesser mileage. But only time will tell.

I disagree with many of the above figures... Unicorn and GS150R don't match P180's performance (acceleration, top speed) at all AFAIK. Also, I think FZ16 delivers more power than both GS and Uni... and the RTR FI gives at least ~4-5kmpl more than RTR RD.

FZ doesn't give that good a mileage going by many owners here!
+1 to the whole of it!

      Gokul,

I'd suggest you to consider Honda Stunner too. It's focussed on College-goers!

thank you all for ur replies, yesterday i'd been to a bajaj showroom saw a pulsar 180 there and was bowled over at the sight of it,it looked big and fab,but sadly though they do not offer any test rides(sri vinayaka, kacheguda) i also went to deccan bajaj there they did not hav any stock but the ppl there were at least courteous enough to give the 150 for a test ride,it was really smooth, the pick up reminded me of all newtons theories and yes inertia.coming to the other bikes friends:

fz-pathetic mileage ,was left heartbroken when came to know that the tank was of plastic(yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks)

cbz/hunk/uni- uni looks yesteryears hunk and cbz-no gadgetry to play with.

gs-been to dobro suuki with dad while i was at test ride my dad went in to ask the service perssonel about the bike and guess what he said take any thing but not a bike from suzuki fine if its access also obtaining spare parts for is a nightmare

        (no offence personal view)

+++++++++++++++180 is just a tad costly when compared to cbz etc.

apache 180-went for a test ride of the 160 but got a wrist pain by the time i was back on my feet.the ride was peppy but i felt that it does'nt give the big bike looks.and wat is xpected price by the way??

finally, i've (obviously not me but my parents(heartily thank them)) paid an advance for the pul 180.

once again thank u all mates

yesterday was really a day to remember with the bike and yes not to forget the deccan chargers win .i'm really elated

        .................................................. .................................................. ..
        but wait still ,
i'm yet confused about the colour

delivery is sheduled for next week

also i'm a bit worried that the bike does not have a kick rod (may seem silly though)

        long wait but chalega..

plz tell me wat all to look at before taking the delivery and some tips for the runnin and ways to obtain a decent mileage.

        thnxxx again!!

congrats gokul you have made the right choice. the bike looks BIG and very sexy IMO.

you can safely assume 40 + average in the city and around 45 on the highway. get yourself some safety gear and wish you have fun. you will enjoy the uniqueness of your bike for some while for sure. cheers!

                  yeah right,
the fz,has power on paper, with that gaigantic wheel in the rear ur going to get some awesome power on the road...and a great top speed too(never crossed 110 on my frnds fz,while my uni with my frnd on it went past me as if i was not there)
and i guess performance includes the refinement thing, which i bet the 180 is no where near the uni or the suzz...and relayability,do i need to say anything abt the bajajs relayability??
