  • Upgrading to Kawasaki Ninja 300

Hi. I'm planning to upgrade to Ninja 300 from my current ride, Dominar 400 in terms of overall quality and engine refinement. I don't have the budget for Ninja 400, hence this.
I'm aware of the high maintenance costs for Kawasaki and small dealer network. But I'd like to know if there are any other drawbacks of owning a Kawasaki.
The usage includes both city rides and touring.
    Thanks in advance!

If you can then try to stretch till the Yamaha R3, maintenance would be cheaper and a lot service network will be wider.

Great choice on the N300. Parts are now much cheaper as recently announced by Kawasaki India. The bike is time-tested for quality and as a result nothing really goes wrong with it as long as you maintain and don't trash it around.

Ninja 300 is a discountinued bike globally which Kawasaki still sells to Indians.

What they did to Ninja 300, could have been done to Ninja 400, and it would've costed a little extra, but no, Indians deserve less. This's the stragagy all MNCs follow.

PS: you may also try Continental GT. The build quality is fabulous.

          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Also if you think KTM = Bajaj = Bad quality, note that this these bikes are exported from India to developed Europian nations, America etc... etc... where they do not see any such placebo. RC is already beating the crap out of Ninja 400 and R3.

This same RC 390 was won many SBK (Supersport 300) championships too.

The major downside however is that it requires 95 RON fuel which costs Rs 20 more in India; but even with 91 it beats all it's rivals availalble in India.

You must consider the RR310. The 2019 is more refined than the earlier models. It has also received many subtle upgrades that have made it smoother and more responsive. It costs far less than the Ninja 300 and offers comparable performance. The service network is definitely wider than Kawasaki and the service costs will also be on the lower side. It is definitely worth every penny spent on it.

I don't really like the way RR310 looks and I'm inclined towards owning a twin cylinder motorcycle. So I guess I'll stick to my plan. Thanks though!

Thanks! This took me one step closer to owning one!

I agree, Bajaj and KTM are not bad either. I've owned Pulsar 220 for 6 years and currently riding the Dominar 400 for a year and half, never had any major issues. But to be honest, refinement isn't a thing in Bajaj bikes which I've personally experienced. After expericing the refinement in the Ninja 300, I don't think I can look back now.

Try R3 you'll love even more! Moreover ninja 300 has handle wobbling issue , so be careful !

Oh yes I've head about that issue.
R3 is a bit over-budget for me but let's see!

R3 is a bit over budget for me and also, I've heard that a newer version will be launching by the end of 2019, so I don't want to regret the buy later. Thanks though!

Newer version of R 3 will have aggressive riding stance, buy now if u want for sports touring purpose. Otherwise NINJA is also a quality product, just remove those ugly grabrails after you take the delivery [emoji23][emoji23]

True. I'll be using it for touring mostly.
And about those grabrials on Ninja, that goes unsaid [emoji23]
