  • Huge Dilemma

Ah. I currently own a Pulsar 200. I'm planning to give it in to go for a new bike pretty soon, and my problem is, I can't seem to make my mind up.

My uses will be plenty - from touring, to track days to daily commutes.

I'm not able to decide between the R15, and the RTR FI. And I also want to wait for the RTR 180. Any suggestions?

why take a RTR after a p200 ,its not much of an Upgrade . the only logical upgrade would be the R15 .
i suggest you wait for a few months as many new bikes like RTR180 , P220 ug are gonna come soon

I would say - Decide / Make up your mind on what you really need!!

You tour often? You have track days every month? Or you commute 20 kilometers everyday?? IMO track days are not very common for us, even if we do so, Our P200 is very much okay for that! If you are serious about touring go for a tourer, else buy a serious track Bike!

If you are still confused, go for a ZMA..

Its actually a pretty old discussion "any other FI Vs R15". I would any day recommend R15.
I wont compare the features and power Or pros & cons. Just one line "The feel is entirely different". goodluck!

ZMA would the best for touring, as Ananth had mentined earlier Track is not very common.
I suggest you better go for ZMA, else if your keen for track use wait for RTR180

Track days are hard to come by now. But once I get the bike, it'll be atleast once a month. Daily commutes are going to stretch from up to 30-40kms per day, or more. As for the touring part - well, that's only whenever there's a ride on here.

                        @insidious,

                        Touring : Zma
                        Commuting : Zma
Track : R15 (way better choice than RTRs)

So go for Zma if commuting and Touring is your priority over track...else go for R15 !!

Buying any other bike apart from p220 or r15 from a p200 doesnt make any practical sense to me...

                              Hey Eashwar,

Whats up with ur 200 mate? Anyways, seeing ur requirement I would suggest u wait it out for the RTR180. The RTR 180 is as good a track tool as the R15 and a much better city commuter than the R15. Take this from the words of a person who is using them extensively on a daily basis. The ZMA just does not cut it out IMHO!

Although I cannot comment on how good the RTR180 will be for touring as the RTR currently is not! Test ride the RTR180, RTRFi and R15 and decide. the R15 scores over any OTHER bike in the rouring angle primarily due to its gearing!

The 220 will not feel so very different from a 200 except being a bit more refined and a bit more torquey.
