Nicely put, it's become a false thinking among people that Japani bikes are best & Indian bikes are shit. Having switched from Honda Shine to Pulsar 220 two years ago, I can tell that it's just a hoax. Maintain the ride well and it doesn't bothers you.

I wish more people would understand this and give desi bikes a chance. Also, Bajaj Auto has 43% of its sales from international market in last quarter. Just goes on to show how well they are selling outside India as well, meaning they are reliable bikes.

Indian bikes offer good value for money & performance for money.

I also know people who own Apaches and RTRs that have done over 1 lakh kms and those guys swear by their bikes. I also can show you Honda shines, unicorns and even Cbr250s that are lying for repair with burnt out clutches, holes in the crankcase, etc. Don't even get me started on yamaha, I'm friends with a yamaha mechanic and I've even seen shattered gear boxes.

Don't listen to rumors and nonsense logic. Test ride the bike yourself and see if it suits you. After that your maintenance of the bike will decide if it's unreliable or reliable. No other factor matters. Lemons exist. Doesn't mean the brand itself makes lemons.
