  • Mahindra Mojo BS6 A good choice?

I am considering a new Mahindra Mojo BS6. My major concern is availability of spare parts down the line as the sales of the bike is very poor. I am from Navi Mumbai. I like all other aspect of the bike.
    Please suggest.

What other bikes do you have as options?

In my opinion, the spare parts availability would be an issue with most of the higher capacity engine bikes e.g. Kawasaki, BMW, Triumph etc. And we can never be sure of getting all the spare parts of even the most famous/widespread bikes at the remotest places, so that is a risk we will have to be mentally prepared for all these adventures.
I like to meditate a lot.. On my BIKE!

I think OP means availability of spares in general since Mojo isn't selling so widely, so how to get spares.

I wouldn't suggest getting a Mojo as there are rumors of Mahindra pulling it off due to poor sales. This would make maintenance a costly affair.
Look at others bikes like Dominar, Gixxer 250, FZ 25, N300 etc.

I had 2 test rides of Mojo and was still confused about it esp due to this particular information/opinion/rumour you mentioned there. When I visited the showroom 3rd time, I got an opportunity to meet one of the high level managers and I asked the same questions to him esp about the future of bike and availability of spare parts, and i was told that Mahindra has no plans of pulling the plugs on this bike for atleast next 2 years and even if they do that in 2022, they will still provide spare parts for next 7 years (as other Indian manufacturers are doing)
Also, for my requirements I couldnt find any other product which I loved after a test drive. So yeah, I have taken a plunge. Delivery is getting delayed though, but i think i should get it in next 10 days

Re: Mahindra Mojo BS6 A good choice?

I did get Mojo's delivery in late January.
Rode it for 4000+ Kms already. Loving the overall smoothness of the bike. Clocked my max speed of 130 first time on a 2 wheeler.
One thing which I couldn't foresee at the time of picking it ,was that the seat height is quite high for me. Don't get me wrong as this is not high and a lot of people are pretty comfy with it. It's just that coming from avenger I did not find the seat height confidence inspiring. It constantly scares me when I am on high speeds like 90 above.
Nothing wrong with the bike but I think I got more used to a cruiser type bike for a very long time, and now this sitting on a bike, instead of sitting in a bike, is leaving me with no options to move to a cruiser again soon. Sadly there aren't much options in cruiser segment in India and they all have some or the other drawbacks. Thinking of selling Mojo (resale value would definitely make me keep it for longer though) and getting something from avenger, jawas or Thunderbird (which should be meteor once launched).
Basically back to the drawing board and in the confused state 🤣

You will get used to it after sometime , nothing to worry bike is rock solid and stable at high speeds ,i have clocked 158 on it comfortably .
Very true we have limited cruiser options in India, practically there is nothing for upgrade after Avenger in cruiser segment. Hope Bajaj launches Avenger in 400 cc in future.

I have heard that getting used to part, and i understand the sentiment behind it too. I also thought that I will get used to it, but even after 4k kms I dont feel at home with the bike. And i constantly talking to my bike showroom owner (Farhan) about doing something with the seat height to reduce it. Not that there is something wrong with the seat, still he suggested a type of seat, which was more like avenger's shape, but it would still be that high from the ground. Not sure to get into all that now.
Apart from minor niggles (which are there in every bike) there is nothing wrong with the bike, but its more about my comfort with it. It would be akin to giving a great cruiser to a sportsbike type of guy, he will enjoy the product but he wont be entirely comfy.

I think I met you to talk about your Mojo (was on the FZ25). What did you decide finally?

I am still on my search for a replacement for my bike. In the interim, the FZ does do a pretty good job of taking me places, but the desire for something faster burns deep

Are you the one who took a TD of my mojo??

I was having on and off thoughts about keeping it and after couple of more rides I realized that I would be more comfortable letting it go if I get a good quote.
