  • Bought - RTR 180

    Hi Guys,

I need your help in selecting a bike for myself.

    Something about me:

Have a little over 10 years of riding experience, so am not a newbie.
Am sick and tired of waiting for the Ninja (since the 2nd Auto expo) and anyways thats not a bike I would like to ride to get groceries on .

I need a weekend bike which can take me and my wife around the narrow roads of Bangalore, markets nearby where I dont want to take my car.

    I dont think I will ride over 100 - 110 kms a month.

Mileage isnt an issue as the distances travelled arent much.

Both of us love the Karizma and the RTR so it has to be between the two.

Am a little bent towards the ZMA because of riding comfort (and wifey loves it too )
Also, love the HH for its refined engine and handling.

I would hardly rip the bike so dont need something which would give me power at high RPM's
Good torque at low and mid rpms for city driving is my basic concern.

What do you guys suggest? Should I look at the RTR 180 or just go in for the ZMA.

p.s. Its gonna be one of the 2 mentioned bikes, I dont like the other ones. No offence to anyone or any bike, its just a personal preference.

ZMA all the way, the RTR is too new and unknown to comment about!

BTW There are good bikes coming along may be it will be a good idea to wait for a few weeks, if not really a better bike then maybe you will get a revised price for the ZMA!

Aah now thats a thought. Any idea on which ones Satyen? The speculation thread had started looking like the Joke thread so couldnt get much info from there. I can hang on for a month or so.

For starters, the RTR180 will get some detailed road reviews, then obviously the fastest Pulsar ever. Oh and the uber cool lazy Fazor!

If sources are to be believed expect a couple of bikes from Suzuki in the 125CC and 150CC 'Power-commuter' class.

And if you are lucky, may be our good ol ninja chacha

Jokes apart wait for the Pulsar, and the RTR reviews.... they are the most likely to materialize in this month ones!

I would say Karizma. Has no less of power and of course the Honda Comfort. You're good to go

Did the same. Ended up buying Zma on my wife's request (was looking at p180 then). I am really enjoying it now. Thank god I did not buy P180.

Yeah, buy the ZMA, you won't regret it. It is a refined, no fuss package and you'll love it.

The RTR aint no slouch, but given your requirement, it doesn't look like you'll keep that engine on the boil and set the streets afire.

Ravi: That was a funny one!

Zma seems right only thing is that its a 6 year old bike and has become a bit dated while the RTR is new you would have a little exclusivity with say a white RTR .
