  • 220f or RTR 180?

I have a pottential 80k in my hand and two choices. See i dont want the new P 180 cause that would violate my bond with my 180(like dating two sisters in the same time, risky business). Dont want 200 cause the new 220f is here. dont want r15 cause cant afford it. dont want KariZma cause in my opinion it is grossly overpriced. Fz is underpowered compared to any of these.

That leaves two choices, the menace or the 220f.

Criterias are Power, Power, Power, Power, ridability and RELIABILITY.(cough, crash worthiness, cough)

Please guide me o enlightened ones.

go to the bajaj probiking showroom throw ur bucks at the table and ride home the P220 DTS-I...

i'm a hardcore fan of RTR,but the product bajaj has launched now in form of 220 DTS-i, it's just most bang outta ur bucks...

to be frank the RTR engine gives u power but tht is RAW....

here it means it gets rough, vibrates, and lets u enjoy the power ol' school type....

on bajaj you'll be having less vubes and roughness and man for the same bucks you're geetin 220 CC and 21.06 PS...

I understand that. The Problem I am having is will the bajaj Hold, because i Have been told that the 200 and 220 bore piston set up has reliability issues.

IMO there's little point in riding two bikes from the same overall parts bin and family.

If I were you and liked the P220 DTSi, I'd sell the 180 and buy the 220, after test riding it.

I believe you have not been through my INTRO? long story short, i meant how much are the parts, are they fragile and are they available?

well bro both have 2 roles:-

                    RAw power
                    comfortable..

220-F:POWER POWER POWER ...n da best till date..

I wld say that buy none, especially if ur existing 180 is giving u good performance. Apache means u r not exactly upgrading and though the 220 gives the max VFM it still means you r on similar tech more or less. The only serious upgrades are rear disc, fairing, fatter sticker rubber. But to a serious enthu does it make sense to blow arnd 50K (sell ur exiting 180 for 30K) on a new bike which is nuthin but the same aircooled, single cyld bike.
I wld say save sum dough for the next 3-4 months, stay away from girls college and buy sumthin which is truly an upgrade

Both would be great. But i would choose the 220, well just one reason is enough for that. Those Projector lamps.

Makes night riding as enjoyable as day-time riding and if u are a tourer it should definitely be the new 220.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

Dude, I am 24, have a job, and a fiance. no college girls for me.
My 180 is in very bad shape with oil leaks and squeaks every where.
I like touring but i AlSO have to commute 90 km everyday.

UPDATE: just had a test ride at probiking, bike is good apart from one minor glitch, the rear disc didnt work very well, felt wooden and remote.

                          Is this common with 220?

Since you are already using the older P180, P220 would be the best logical upgrade IMO.
