  • Your guidance in selecting my Bike

    Hi,

I own a 2 year old RTR 160, I must openly say that i enjoyed each and every bit of it to my fullest satisfaction. It had its share of problems (Vibes, shoddy tires) but never failed to entertain me. Its eagerness to be pushed beyond limits is the best of all. The wring of the throttle brings with it loads of adreline and excitement. and the shift at 8 k rpm..oh...i am stopping here..

But now, i am facing a different situation on hand.I recetly got married and my wife is feels extremly uncomfortable to sit on the rear. Moreover the vibes in very very high in rear foot pegs. She daily keeps abusing and cursing my RTR and i could take this no more.

So i came to a decision. I can either let go of my wife or my RTR. If the do the former, my pillion seat may be empty forever...!!!. Hence, i am planning to do the latter.

    My requirements:
    Comfortable pillion seats
fairly large bike (u know the RTR was a bit small)
    Good touring capabilities
Most important: I cant go back on power (dont make me miss my RTR)

    Peak Price point: 1 lac

Please suggest me the bike that suits my requirement.

    Thanks in advance

That was a nice one. You can try

        1. Zma(best for touring, no issues with the bike)
        2. P220(equally good, "fastest indian")
        3. Avenger 200(sofa on wheels)
        4. Bullet Electra(the classic feel)

These bikes fall in your price range and you will not have to compromise on the power.

Go for the Pulsar 220 or Avenger 200

@praveenz : Zma all the way (I trust the spy pics and speculations about new Zma....hence I would ask you to wait for more time).

              lol... hahaha

brother.... dont go for avenger.... rear shocks not so good....
may be bullet or a karizma.... these are the most comfortable
but bullet has vibrations.... so u are left with the zma.. so go ahead for it

Top of the charts, Karizma (good for pillion).
P220 is good, but the pillion seat.

If you can wait then some new bikes are on the way from Honda & HH. Honda may come up with better Unicorn may be upto 200cc. HH has new ZMA on cards.

If you cant wait then I see Pulsar 220 (2009) fits well for your requirement.

Man!! i exactly know how you feel, cas i have the same problem dude, but jus look at my bike... i cant leave it behind... so i decided to go with it... your ears hurt bit bu then when you hear the beat of the bike.... you will feeel its better than....

For the query the p220 is a harder choice... trust me on this. I would say the zma is more comfortable in terms of seating. But i remember my she loved the seating of my early Yamaha eliminator. So its either the Avenger or the zma.

Now, was that the Yam, or the eliminator!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

TBTS is a good choice. Powerful yet comfortable.

And if you are not gong the bulls way then go for the ZMA,, or better wait till HH reveals the new ZMA..

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!
