Sorry to hear about your bike. The COmet is an excellent bike provided your able to maintain it. Parts are scarce and expensive. If you know friends who have Comets then things will be easier because you would be able to go to the same mech and maybe share the cost while ordering parts. You can get a well maintained Comet for a lakh, but its not the buying cost thats the issue, its the maintenance cost which will very soon double and triple your initial investment over a period of time. So dont get lured by the initial cost.

R15 is any day a good choice and the Ninja maybe here before the year ends. If you have the patience, wait for the Ninja.

Everything you say is true. Save for the Ninja in the year end part. That is what we are speculating. Remember, we said the same thing about the Ninja last year as well... Diwali Diwali was what were chanting in unison! ARAI did not even clear it!

Please go in for the R15 dude... u wont get anything better. Dont keep anticipating the ninja because u can never predict when it will come. If u really think u should wait, then buy a second hand RX and use it till the Ninja arrives. You'll love the RX.

Considering that you're growing impatient, & want to buy a bike between Comet, R15 & Ninja 250, I would suggest to go for the R15.
              Reasons:
Comet: Costly to maintain. Lack of availability of spares. Adding to the hassle of finding spares is that Mahindra&Mahindra has bought over kinetic, so don't expect much help from them.
R15: Proven & discussed enough. Do I need to say anything here!
Ninja250: 3 months it will take, is what Bajaj said during P220's launch. Not sure if that will really happen. Please wait for this if you really want it. Will be a cracker of a bike, but the price-range is also not out. In short, too many ifs & buts to put your time & money on hold for this bike from Kawasaki's stable.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

yeah go for the R15 as t is the best what you can get now. Comet is a good bike but again spares and the other nitty gritties that you will have to bear. Ninja...well it is worth a wait if you have that amount amount of patience as because you will be waiting for a bike that you dont know when its gonna arrive.

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

in my opinion wait for ninja. R15 is no doubt a great bike but i suggest you wait and watch.Comet will be expensive to maintain and parts will be difficult. till ninja arrives buy a second hand bike and rip it.

Go for R15, best one available today.

I think after Ninja 250 there will be more 250s arrive in market, so you will get more choices. Till that time you can happily ride R15.

If still dreaming of Ninja 250 then get a second hand bike and wait for Ninja 250.
