hey guys i was expecting this, but let me tell you, i started driving since i was 10(6 years!!!) , I'll be getting my learning licence and yeah i have had a bike before, so it's not a big deal, and yeah i won't use it for hardcore stunting, just the novices' stunts.
    BMX stunting-- over and out.
    DONE.
it'll be like 95% city use.
and yeah what price should i expect of the NINJA 250?
or just because it's my new bike i should leave the thought of the NINJA(the big bike feel thing). Which of these are the most reliable?
    thanks and looking for Suggestions.
    Thanks in advance

Expect the Ninjette to be in the Rs.2.1L Bracket. Stunting will cost you a bomb if you fall on a Ninja (Apart from being expensive, availability of spares will be a much bigger issue)

And RTR is the best for City usage + Stunting. I feel, Budget is not a bar, so go for RTR180. Will suit your needs the best.

But still, at 16, you shouldn't be getting a bike for yourself.

Exacly but i dont realy think that all this is gonna stop him, its something that even if we would have been at his age and were left to choose a bike, so what i personaly feel is that age doesnt matter, buy any bike of your choice but make sure bfore that you buy a proper riding gear and tell your paapa to do some RPM lock if possible

Apart from being illegal, what else stops this kid from getting a motorcycle. In some countries the legal age is 16. Now what makes Indians lesser mortals??? well the answer is: there is little or no road / civic sense in India.

Now shall we help this kid in his decision or shall we teach him rules???

I read somewhere on the forums that Yams would be ending support for RX100 / RX135 spares soon. Dont know if that is true though. Anybody putt some light on that.

I've been a fan of Automobiles since class 6th and decided to take my 1st bike(I use a dio, on which i stunt) I am confused b/w R15, P220 dts-i or fi, Ninja 250, or the upcoming HH ZMR and Honda CBF 150.
                      My requirements are---
                      Usable torque(r15 barred. )
                      decent fuel efficiency
                      Less maintainability
                      Stunt Machine(optional)
                      and yeah a flaunt machine.
I would like to keep the bike for like 5-6 years or a bit more
P.S- no FZ, or the new Fazer.
                      Thanks in Advance.
Right now P220 will be the best VFM......no comments about NINJA

Dude seriously abhi dio se kaam chalao untill you are 18. I have seen some school boys riding R-15 cutting, doing rash driving to impress chicks but they all end up on road crashing.
So be patient till 18 and when u are old enough u ll get the Ninja too here!!!

Hey i m from Jaipur too!!!

Why are u stressing upon Ninja?? U have your whole life in front of you.... buy a Ninja when you are 20 or 22 and then enjoy.... because till then there will be enough support and knowledge available for the bike in India. Moreover, i don't think Ninja is a practical city bike. It is a leisure bike that people use on weekends to escape from the hubbub of the city. U r planning on driving a Ninja in the dense traffic of chaura rasta or rush hour traffic of MI Road?? Grow up!! Not happening!!

Buy an RTR...... I'll repeat as many others have repeated ARRR TEEE ARRR. Three magic words for city riding (I recall you saying something like 95% city use).

                              yeah agreed.
places like mi road and chaura rasta are congested, but if i find a empty stretch of road or those cool roads in the night you can really unleash those horses
RTR 180, will have a test ride, and yeah, don't worry of that 18 part, I'll take care, drive responsibly.
I've faced numerous accidents in these 6 years, which helped me to learn, and i can say, i am a better rider than a commoner, or 18+.
                              OKAY, chucked NINJA.
                              what about the other options?
And impressing chicks, that is my cup of tea, , i am not a rogue though
and i am done with my dio. want something more.
waiting for more valuable suggestions like ^ and ^^ .
thanks, and saty let's meet someday

well.... i'll try to explain in short what is required in conjusted city driving on a bike:
                                1. You will need a reasonable amount of power and torque in low-mid rpm range as u won't get time to rev the bike to high rpms.
                                2. You need good handling to avoid all the mad rickshawallahs and those city bus drivers.
                                3. U need flickability (ability to perform a cut or a slalom in traffic) i.e. low wieght.
                                4. The bike needs to be smaller (in terms of wheelbase).

U will find all this in all RTRs. And as far as the chicks are concerned..... are u sure they are impressed by stunting?? IMO they get scared and will never sit behind you if you drive rash or show-off by stunting in front of them.

So with all the factors in mind..... Best of luck getting a nice bike and a chick too maybe :P
