guys i am pretty confused between rtr 180 and rtr 160 fi.. although the latter is priced 2k more than the former.. its got better mileage right.?

and about 180.. i heard stability has improved a lot taking into consideration the reduced vibes.. is it true..?

Yeah its true...tvs has improvised the ride quality & 180 has prone to less vibrations...

RTR 180 - More grunty, better stability, lower price!

Actually A180 is more VFM from any angle except a very little drawback at mileage, a bit of reduced flickability as compared to RTR FI but you are getting:
          - more power
          - more stability
          - Tubeless tyres
          - Broader rear tyre
          - other cosmetic upgrades
          @around 2k lesser

I hopes these points help you in your decision.

Blindly go for the 180 and about the mileage , in the ownership thread most ppl reported the mileage to be 45-50.i think that would be sufficient

but guys can anyone tell me how i can make sure that i haven't been given a test drive vehicles..?
i also want to know this guys.even i test drove in rippoff fashion.

Since some of the showrooms use a bike with the speedo & odo wiring disconnected, I think the only way to find out if its been used for giving test rides would be to check for physical marks on the bike.
But most showrooms do have dedicated bikes for test rides (with proper speedo & odo wiring), so its not that big a problem.
End of the day, you have to willingly/unwillingly trust them.. No other option I guess..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

blindly go for the 180...it somehow feels better than the 160.
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

                        congrats for the bike
here also the same thing is happening
the bike my friend test drove was delivered to someone else
the best way is to go and note down the frame no. of the test drive bike

to make sure it is not a test driven bike, check the tyres.... compare 2 or more bikes to look for tyre wear. And if the dealer still gives you a test vehicle, ask for discounts or for a new vehicle. If need be, tell him that u'd rather buy the bike from another dealer if he insists on that bike. Ask for your money's worth.
                            Congratulations and best of luck

I came across this in some thread. The on road price of the A180 includes helmet lock, seat cover and beepers or something like that.Don't know how far it's true but just ask the showroom people about this "if" you're going for the 180...
