Both bikes are very very good products. In the end it boils down to personal taste.

If you want two stroke type performance with a high revving and one of India's best engines then go for the RTR.

If you want a smooth (yes I know it is a pulsar) and big bike with immense torque and the best value package go for the 220f.

          RTR180 or 220 DTSi

Thanx Guys for sharing all your experiences, my intentions are to go in for DTSi 220 bcoz RTR180 is way too short for my height of 6' ...also, I've been hearing it right from the beginning of RTR160 that this baby tends to vibrate across 6-7k rpm & above.

I already own FZ with 8k on odo &10 months of company together, not even at a single point this bike gave any sort of vibrations or unbalancing kind of nature. Even at from speed of 124 that I touched on new HYD airport @ Shamshabad & sudden braking from 120 to 15-20 was very nimble without fear of skidding or shaking. After so much applause from my FZ, I can't think of own a premium bike that will give me VIBRATIONS.

My ZMA is older than FZ but still when I rides it, there is really something legendary about it guys. Appreciations apart, I wish HH keeps this soul alive with much better parts in upcoming ZMA/ZMR.

As of now, my CHOICE is still hanging between 220 DTSi & RTR 180.Plz post further guys.

          THANKS & BEST REGARDS,

You must be the change you wish to see in the world

If the above mentioned is so important to you, then you must stay away from the entire Pulsar/Apache series. Coz vibrations is an inherent character of them!

                THANKS & BEST REGARDS,
Vibrations in an RTR 180 would def be more than 220. considering ur height, 220 would suit you better. Even i was stuck on which bike to buy after ZMA. Booked the 220 bt cancelled the booking as the delivery was delayed big time. So only other option was RTR 180 which i own for past 12 days . Beleive me, both bikes are really good & right there on pickup front till 100 kph. Pickup of both bikes are better than stock ZMA.

Stay as far away from both the Indian manufacturers if this is the case. They still quite a long way from eliminating what is one of the most annoying aspects while riding a motorcycle. Either wait for the new ZMR-Fi or take a R15 TD and decide.

Selling off a ZMA in less than 6 months?
I would say keep it for daily use&save up for a bigger bike later on!

btw,The RTR180 is a good bike but if money is no problem,it's better to move higher up the cc ladder.P220 Dtsi currently remains the best VFM buy across all segments. As you're already leaning towards the P220,I don't see any point waiting for replies from us...If you are ready to wait, the ZMR is surely gonna be one helluva of a product(hope so)...btw,pls don't sell your Zma...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

                            RTR180 or 220DTSi

                            Dear Guyz,

Has anybody got news what Bajaj is having in pipeline for this coming DIWALI ...

What can be the reason for ejecting 200 from Pulsar series....

How come Bajaj can keep quite when news is all over that new ZMA/ZMR is very near to-be-launched....

Guyz, if u all start thinking keeping all above possibilities in mind, WHAT DOES UR INSTINCTS SAY !!!!!!!!!!

Still it's not sure when the f***k is NINJA coming, Bajaj is killing all the excitement by keeping NINJA from neck-to-neck competition with R15 & with new ZMA/ZMR coming out from HH stable, Bajaj might bring down another beast to this battle-field, how about a bigger brother of 220DTSi. IF ANYBODY RESIDES NEAR TO AKURDI-PUNE, KEEP AN EYE BCOZ FLYING-NEWS IS THAT BAJAJ IS NEARLY DONE WITH 300cc PULSAR.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world

P200 never made any sense to me, now the new 220 costs 79k, why should they keep the 200? however the engine still exists in the avenger. NINJA 250 is coming this deewali

First of all The RTR 180 is very stable up to 110 kph, I test rode the bike for nearly 2 hours and It felt way smoother than the 160.

Second New bikes vibrate because the engines and running parts are brand new, once they settle down after run in, the smoothness begins to show.
