  • Which bike has lowest seat height for pillion rider

I guess someone can help me easily, I am looking for a bike which has lowest seat height for pillion rider for old people to sit comfortably. I don't want consider scooters but bike in the range of 100cc to 150CC. Money or Mileage is not a concern, it should be reliable.

    Thanks in advance.

If u had not limited urself between 100-150 cc bikes, it wud b definitely Bajaj avenger (200 cc)
Its sad that u cant buy a new YAmaha enticer(123.7cc engine) coz it seems lik it was jus d perfect bike 4 u with low pillion seat jus like avenger. Bt u can still look out 4 a used Yamaha Enticer or in my opinion, jus go 4 Bajaj Avenger dude.. Its simply awesome

guys, check the question clearly. Don't just go by one parameter - the seat height. These cruisers (Avenger, Enticer) have a back rest that is higher than the seat - getting on and off would be difficult.

To be practical may be the XCD's or Disco's are better. Some HH's - CD Dawn, CD Delux are lower too and are good to get on and off. Suzuki Heat and Yamaha Crux too are good options here.

New : Super Splendor; CD Dlx ; Splendor - all have excellent suspensions.
(USP : Reliable, superior A.S.S. access).
Used bikes : As Riaz says RX would be good buy, mod with good foot rest and nice grabs.

PS1 : If you ride in 'good' roads, please re-consider scooter, it's lot safer and comfortable for old folks
PS2 : AFAIK, Avenger pillion ride is quite hard and uncomfortable, most unsuitable for old folks !

appreciate your care for your elderly there

passion pro or plus also is low i guess
                      quite comfortable too
it would be comparatively more comfortable
i suggest you choose a bike which has comparatively fatter pillion and rider seat

XCD 125 is certainly not a good option for pillion with those sns suspensions .... trust me

i dont know about shine and lower capacity suzuki bikes
ask shine n zuki owners or experienced guys here

                      best of luck buddy
Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

Shine also has a very low Pillion seat. Actually the bike is low heighted.
Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

Wow! So many replies.. Thanks guys for your inputs. I used to follow previous xbhp(before it got crashed) quite closely but somehow stopped latter.

I don't want to buy tourer as I drive only in City and use Car for long drives.

this is basically to have my parents for quick shopping, It's very difficult for them to get on and get out on my existing pulsar 180. I am thinking to buy one more and considering splendor(125CC one) or suzuki zeus (I just short listed them by looking them on roads thinking they are the lowest seat ones).

Is it possible to change seat height after market otherwise?

Yes, good observation. I didn't think about it.

Thanks all one more time and am still researching... The manufacturers doesn't add in specifications to compare easily

Does Activa can pull two people each weighing say 90KG in stop and go traffic. This is my primary concern to go for scooters.
