If you have RE get ready for heavy maintenance

AND go for M500 it is a real beast
i have thunderbird(2007) it is awesome
but TBTS, i will not call it a RE
no sound no feel of torque it is more like riding honda eterno
no doubt technically TBTS is ultimate but i think people buy RE because of dug dug dug dug dug dug and that ultimate pleasure you get riding it

even if you fit std silencer on TBTS it does not sounds like RE

Take my words go for M500

Maintainence issues on mach 500 are of the self starter conking off
Next are tappets which determine the timing of the engine.
.these tappets can neither be comletely tightened or set completely loose rather sumwer in between..they have top be tightened every 1000-1500kms or so
wen these tappets become loose they start making an irritatin noise of tic tic tic tic. and if set completely tight ur engine probably wont start or wont go beyond 20kmph..
Vibrations Vibrations u will sense vibrations at higher speeds..

      Electra5s no vibrations at all
tappet issue does exist but if the tappets are tightened by an experience mech u wont hear the clatter .. and wen u hear them its time to service ur bike.

TBTS- Ur height does not matter as long as u can comfortably handle ur bike.. The TBTS eliminates the tappet clatter by employin Hydraulic Tappets.
since ur goin for abrand new model u shud nt have ne other prblm found on the first batch of the TBTS's it requires less maintenence cruises comfortably arnd 80-90kmph dishes out a cool 45kmpl

Since ur nt much into the technical go for the TBTS

@buvanrajd the TBTS is no doubt a good bike but it does not feel like a bullet. They say that riding a bullet is like meditation and leaves you with the same almost spiritual feeling when you get of the bullet after a ride. And trust me my friend I have expeirenced this bliss on my Electra and regret giving her away. But the TBTS lacks this i feel as someone mentined earlier it does feel like the 'Eterno' albeit a more powerful one. In my opinion if you really want to expeirence a bullet get either the Electra, Std or one of the two Machismos. Even the AVL engine retains this spritual feeling giving charecter. Why else do you buy a bullet eh guys! There a lot of modern bikes in the market today that can do everything a bullet does even better the ZMA for example is as capable a tourer as the bullet except that the bullet gives you a feel of bliss and enlightenment . The TBTS is a modern bike without the thump that puts the rider in a special kind of Motorcycling Trance. Please bro get a real bullet. If possible to change your prefrence at this stage.

I have heard from many and known a few people who always regret "not buying the 500" after they rode it once. But TBTS is a class of its own. I am sure you will enjoy riding it.

                @ yamahatrooper

I agree with your points. I really liked Electra than TBTS and even MAC500.
Even Electra is cheaper than TBTS.

Let me tell you what i felt

I like Electra for its looks, feel ,but decided to stay away from it due to its Reliability and Maintenance. But i dont deny the fact that my mind still says Electra 5s

But Bro ,I chose TBTS for its reliability and Lesser running cost than anyother RE. I think i can live with it. Though i wont get the thump i will fit the goldstar silencer. I dint like the looks as much as i liked Electra 5S.What will i do with electra if something goes wrong when i am a lone tourer, as i dont know much about the technicals.

I really appreciate your close to the heart suggestion. Thanks alot bro. Do let me know ur comments.

                @niks_devil666

Thanks dude. But i dint like the 500lb which they gave me for the test ride. It was not that good. But i dont deny its a great bike.I felt its not my cup of OIL!!!

                  Buvan,

If you buy the LB500,you will have to slowly stock up on parts(like I do) as they aren't available easily. I see this situation only worsening with time as there are very few(relatively speaking) LB500s on the road. For someone who doesn't have the time nor the contacts to source spares and the minor hassles that the LB500 brings with it, the TBTS is a very good bet. BTW, you don't need to worry about spares drying out for the TBTS as this motorcyle is RE's future. Congrats man. And meanwhile, the TBTS with a Goldie sounds very thumpy and fruity.

                  Cheers,

                  Jay

                        Hi Yamaha trooper

Yeah i had a huge confusion and dilema while deciding which RE. I like all the RE's for their uniqueness and majesty. But though they are cheaper than the RE i am buying , I had to consider everything. This is one of the biggest investment i have done in my life so lots of confusions. it happens right.

I have booked Black color and thanks for your wishes.
