hahah it always happens when we look for a used vehicle. RX is a great bike and when i was thinking about selling it to get my new bike , it was very hard for me to digest it. so kept it for myself in my hometown. now my dad uses it very rarely and he says the machine is awesome.

I am taking my bike today from showroom. My bike got registered last week. was waiting for my moms approval.do i need to check for anything while taking the delivery. showroom guys asked me 1700 for the registration as i wanted a number which has a total sum of 5. is it fine?

Do the usual inspection of all the electrical functions and the cosmetics of the bike and make sure they re all in order. And yea 1700 for a number totalling to 5 sounds ok! And all the best for you and you new bull bro! Looking forward to seeing some pics after you get your Bull.

I took my Bike yesterday and i am enjoying it. Fuel guage is malfunctioning. itshows full tank when the tank had 1 ltr. it was closing time in showroom so i said i will come in the weekend and get it checked. they dint give me the first aid kit.

theres a hissing noise in the engine and bike is forcing me to downshift the gear often in low speeds. completed 75 kms. planning to finish the run in period soon.

380kms update

I completed 380 kms till now after filling 10 ltrs on the day i took the bike from showroom.Till now it has not come to reserve.Showroom guy told me bike is filled with 1 Ltr. So Mileage calculation with current condition 11 Ltrs, 380 kms, 2 ltrs reserve fuel .So 380kms/9ltrs = 42.22 km/ltr(not yet reserve)

The problem of Fuel indicator is solved. After running for 100+ kms it automatically started working.Earlier Fuel guage was showing full tank when the tank had only 1 ltr.

I fitted Paramount crash guard,Roots Horn and a Helmet lock.Idling was adjusted as the RPM was high even when throttle was not given during the gear shifts,after tuning it the feel changed a lot.It feels much better.

PLANNED UPGRADES:

Lights are less than adequate.Planning to upgrade to halogen Bulb provided it wont void the warranty. Inputs needed
Thinking of changing the front tyre.(Same pattern as of the rear tyre)
Avenger rear view mirrors.
ABS
Have to name my bird

Getting a mileage of 49.11 .
completed 450 kms and it came to reserve in 442 kms for 9 + 2 ltrs. Leaving my bike for service tomorrow

^^Bullet Classic 500 EFI is on line from RE. It is launched and would be available soon.
Pricing is around 1.5 lakh, more details are available in Category Thumpers in xbhp.
Any day better looks, styling and technology than TBTS. ( My opinion)

the 500cc efi model looks out of the world.. but dont think its affordable for us.. and also it looks like its a single seater..

is the 350cc efi model also for the bullet classic ?

You can always add another seat for a pillion rider. IMO, pillion rider seats should be available from the showroom itself.
No idea if they would sell a 350cc EFI model in India.
About the price range, agreed it is higher than TBTS. But looks, retro styling, thump (they say it thumps like STD 350; never heard it) and EFI cant come free, rite ?

I think for 1.5 lakhs, it has good value for money. ( My opinion. I am a purist when it comes to bullets and personally like the Bullet styling than TBTS styling. A little further, I am also waiting for a LHS brake version of the classic.

I feel the same way u feel about the looks. Yes looks of Machismo electra and standard are any time better than TB / TBTS. But this varies from person to person. some feel TB looks better.

I went for TBTS for its practicality(Maintenance and fuel economy) and Reliability. I actually wanted to buy electra, But no regrets.

Thanks for the wishes. I heard Classic 350 is not EFI and its carburetor only. what i heard from people is 350 wont be much costlier. I personaly saw the Bullet calssic 500 in Bangalore RE Brandstore.It really looks out of the world.
