Also, what is the source of you saying P220 comes with KTM bikes technology? I haven't heard of this before and as far as I know, it's Bajaj RnD all the way for P220 DTSi.

Hi Zayn. Writing in capital letters is equivalent to shouting in a forum. I am sure you didn't mean to shout but please be aware of this next time.Originally posted by zayn View Post

why dont you take a test ride and find out your self ..
i somehow feel that if i need to buy a bike now ill go for P220 as i am too boored with RTRs vibrations ..
but at the same time P220 cant rev so easily and not so flickable .. so think about it

Bajaj used to offer 2yrs Normal Warranty and 3yrs Extended Warranty for a small premium...but from Nov 08 extended warranty had been stopped according to the General Manager in Bajaj hereOriginally posted by ken cool View PostThe RTR180 handles beautifully. The 220 owners, several thousand of them have gone beyond 40K kms and are pretty satisfied.
Remember, the Premium segment Bajaj bikes have a 5 year unlimited warranty on the engine and gear box. I do not know about the Apache in this regard.
If you tour much then consider P220 and if you drive in city much then consider ApacheLast edited by CJ; 08-31-2009, 10:29 PM.Adverts here :D

Anyways, for your query bro...I think you should take both the bikes for spin and decide which one suits your needs better.
P220 is a fast-fast-fast machine and is by far the best touring machine(only second to Bullets) whereas the RTR180 is a bike for streetsmart racers who love zipping around corners and a bike that can give other bigger bikes tough call on straights.As you have A150 i m sure you know what an Apache is all about.To be honest,i've always loved the way A150 handled.Don't sell it(my suggestion).This is the bike that turned me up for it's bigger bro the RTR180..Last edited by MG; 09-06-2009, 01:06 PM.If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

i know that A-180 is not the tourer friendly bike due to its seating position...& i have tested both bikes...don't what to disclose this..because many rebels are waiting on this thread..

You mean to say you didn't wish to disclose the fact that you testrode both the bikes before....OMG! Please tell me how do they handle,how was the pick-up? Please please..i think it's a huge secret revealed here in Xbhp that someone tested P220 and RTR180...Lucky you!!.

@TS
Its really ur call now , u know a lot abt both the machines. Reliability is not a issue at all.u may even decide by ur personality, if ur small, Apache is better.

@chucknorris
Buddy since u r accustomed to riding the A150..... try to ride the A180 just as you usually ride the 150 and then decide whether you would be comfortable touring on it. AFAIK there are a lot of people here who do a lot of touring with their Apache..... to be like them you have to love the bike with all your heart..... these people will never get tired or have any aches whatsoever because riding in unison with their bike gives them such a lot of pleasure that all discomfort is easily neglected. Plus the A180 packs a lot of punch in nearly just as little size as an A150.
Also test ride the P220..... I own one and can tell you that the sitting posture is quite comfy but nothing as good as that of a ZMA. It is fun to drive in the city and can easily cruise at 100kmpl all day on highways.
So its finally your call. Test both the machines and go with your heart.... you won't regret it.

As much as i love the Apaches . i feel like i need a change . ;i am not tall but i still have the cramped feeling in Apaches especially the ones with clip ons .they tend to put more weight in the wrist . and the pulsar 220 is new and is quite comfortable the only thing holding me back is the reliabillity issue . i dont care if its heavy , and it doesnt feel heavy when riding . so i think ill go for the pulsar and see what happens .
